I love love love this lamp! We bought one for my eldest son when he was newborn and it was perfect for breastfeeding as has low blue light as well as helping us work out what to dress him in for bed with the temperature guide as new parents! He now has it as a nightlight, it's safe for him to hold and use himself. We take it on every trip we go on as it goes into a suitcase or a bag nicely and the battery life is super so we don't bother taking the base with us most of the time. I like that it looks appealing, portable, easy to use and child friendly, he isn't suddenly going to grow out of it! We liked it so much we have just bought another for our second baby on the way!!

I have to say I wasn't too sure what to expect from this. I bought it as my 10week old cries more when it's dark and he can't see us so wanted something that is bright enough to reassure him I'm there, but not so bright it interferes with the little sleep we get as new parents. And I have to say this is exactly what I needed. The packaging is really nice and makes it stand out from other products which is a plus if buying as a gift. The light up section is actually soft, which is great for when bub is bigger and is able to use it himself as no worries bout him hurting himself on it. It has adult mode and child mode which is all explained in the manual as each works differently. We used adult mode and even on the brightest setting I cast a soft glow over his crib as opposed to the rest of the room. The base itself is actually brighter than the lamp, so I would reccomend bearing this in mind when you think about where to plug it in, I had it directly next to the cot and it didn't cause a problem. I found we didn't need the base close during the night as the lamp held its battery well even being on most of the night. The base is great as it lights up depending on temperature of the room, so despite having a more accurate room thermometer it's great to see at a glance. I did find that for night feeds it perhaps wasn't as bright as I would have liked, as I wasnt able to clearly see babies latch etc, however this could just be me as overly cautious first time mum so definitely not marking down. I would definitely reccomend this to my friends and would be happy to receive this as a gift as it's useful and trendy, it doesn't look out of place on the bedside table.

This is an excellent night time tool for your kids. We have two kids one three and the other one. They are both in the same room but the 1 year old goes down before the 3 year old. This is a fantastic lamp for the three year old when she's going to bed, or needing to get up in the night. It's a very soft light so doesn't wake up or disturb the 1 year old. Whilst the product is good the service from Shnuggle is better. Our lamp decided not to work a couple of months after purchase. I contacted the company and without any qualms or quibbles there was a replacement sent out to me. They were extremely obliging, responsive and polite. Would absolutely recommend this product and this company

We got this lamp for night feeds, we wanted something we don't have to worry about running out of battery when we need it so the charging stand was a selling point. The light is dim but plenty for night feeds so works very well for that, and is supposedly low on blue light so shouldn't impact sleepiness. The 2 gripes I have with the design are: First, you turn it upside down to turn it on or off. But that's too sensitive and if you have it set on a bed and it falls on it's side (it will) then it turns off. I would rather a button, or even squeeze it like in child mode. Second, the light on the base (temperature sensor) doesn't seem to have a way to turn it off. That's really annoying and we've had to put the stand in a slightly less convenient place to hide that light while still being available to us. Also there doesn't seem to be an indicator that it's charging or completed charging, since this light is there already it would be nice to maybe use green to show it's charging and something else to show it's fully charged (the charger is just a stand, there are some weak magnets to help aligning it correctly, but it would be good to get a flash just to confirm it's charging) If those 2 things were fixed it would be an awesome 5 star product, as is stands it's very good and I would recommend it but with the above caveats.

Without doubt best baby buy we made. Bought 4 years ago and still used every night by kids. So easy to use and quite resilient, its had quite a few bangs! If they wake at night they can light their way to our bedroom and pilot light (which has built in thermometer and appears blue/orange or Red) is low enough not to disturb sleep. Fantastic product, well done to whoever came up with the concept!

Stopped working after the first month! Incredibly disappointed as I’ve been in hospital since early August and my mom didn’t want to worry me about it whilst I’ve been so ill, but I noticed when I was home on hospital leave and she explained it just stopped holding charge. We’ve always been a fan of shnuggle products and expected it to be of similar quality.

We are a return purchaser of this. The last one lasted 7 years and has finally stopped charging. (But in all honesty that one took a lot of wear and tear!). These little eggs are light, mobile, yet sturdy. The light itself is a lovely soft light, but bright enough for my daughter to use it as a reading light. I love the function that you can switch on, where you can tilt it to switch on and then again to switch off. Such a handy little light. Initially I bought as a breastfeeding light, but this is now being used by our 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son. (We have one for each child now). Please never stop making these

The glow is perfect for bedtime and nightlight (it's fun for my toddler to carry it around a little before bed, too). The mode switching could stand to be a little easier (with more optional functionality).
