This book contains good tips for training and a very detailed history of this cute dog breed, Pomeranian. I adopted a 2-year-old Pomeranian from my local pound. The poor girl was shaking and so scared. So naturally, we took her and invited her into pur home. Being first time dog owners, there were a lot of mistakes that were made. Safe to say that I don't have any shoes without bites marks and we no longer have any remotes in our home. She had such high anxiety, we weren't quite sure what to do and I was afraid we'd have to give her back to the pound.Now, I already have a clear understanding of her temperament. This book changed her behaviour completely. Whereas she still isn't perfect, it has helped teach her manners, work on recall, and simpler things such as not jumping on people or guests, door and food manners, and bite inhibition. I can also poke around her mouth without fear of being hurt. We still have a looking way to go but this is a huge start. This book lays out the program simply and in great detail to help anyone understand what to do and how to problem solve for their own Pomeranian's needs. It helped me understand and train my pound Pomeranian and I'll keep it for all pups to come 🙂

I read this book in two days as I am getting a Pomeranian this weekend. This was exactly what I needed! The process of raising a puppy - a Pomeranian puppy - was covered in easy-to-read and understandable detail. I've raised a Poodle to age 14 but I needed to know the differences that might exist with the two breeds of dogs. And there ARE some. So now I know I will be a better owner of this new pup.Great buy! I enjoyed reading it.

Very simplistic book. It was not what I was looking for, but it may be of some interest to those who know nothing about the breed. I think I was looking for something a little more comprehensive.

Just okay. Except for the breed history, it didn’t tell me much I didn’t know.

Wow! This book had a lot of useful information for Pomeranians! Each topic is relevant at all stages of your Pomeranian journey, grooming, crate training, potty training and feeding were all included in the handbook along with so many other topics that I know will be useful as the years go by. Also, I love all the real-life examples in the book from Pomeranian owners. Great resource guide- I would recommend it for all Pomeranian lovers and owners!

I have recently adopted two poms and I have no idea about this breed other than the cute face, this book helped a lot and it provide valuable information. I highly recommend it for first time poms owners.

We got a new Pomeranian puppy recently. I bought this book for my kindle as something to read up before we take him home. The book was easy to understand, the images of the Pomeranians are super cute too. Invest in your dog, take a week off to follow this book and you will reap the rewards for a long time. Now, we have a calm well-behaved Pomeranian, we know the rules, he knows the rules and whenever we go out in public with him everyone is amazed in how well-behaved he is.

I liked this Pomeranian guide by Mark Manfield. It’s packed with information straight from someone who has had first-hand experience and knowledge when it comes to this breed. The author fairly illustrates how a Pomeranian's characteristics, physical appearance as well as its temperament differ among other dog breeds. It’s such an interesting book to read. I had a wonderful time reading it. Highly commendable!
