What a great all-round utensil for the Instant Pot. It arrived early and in pristine condition - thank you Prime! This is my go-to accessory for steaming - especially odd sized and over sized vegetables. And, i easily holds 1 to 18 eggs for cooking.. When it is not being used in the Instant Pot, it also is an excellent cullender. Great kitchen accessory! I chose this over a perforated insert, for its lightness, durability and ease of cleaning. Good purchase for any kitchen!

These are awesome pool skimmer baskets when you need something really sturdy. I’ve used these for the last couple of years in the Spring and Fall we get a lot of leaves and debris. Since our pool is saltwater, I have found they do tend to rust over time, so I plan to substitute the plastic ones back in during the summer, and save these for the really hard work.

I received an Instantpot for my birthday in November. I was told to watch videos before using which was important advice. One of the videos was a blunt review of possible accessories for sale. Most of the potential accessories were not recommended as necessary. This was a main one to be a first buy. I bought this and have used it numerous times. It is truly useful, especially for steaming vegetables. I overcooked "baked" (steamed) potatoes once. Parts of the soft potatoes were tideous to clean out from the screen. Otherwise it has been wonderful. The video review said not to get the basket that had the vinyl or other covering on the little "legs" because food would stick in them and could eventually be a problem. I am glad that I listened and bought this one. If you have an Instant pot or other brand and a basket is not included, buy this one.

A good purchase: This "instant Pot" basket fits my Kuhn Rikon 8 quart Duromatic perfectly. The Duromatic is 8 5/8" in diameter and this medium basket has a diameter of 8 1/4". The height to the Duromatic's (max) 2/3 fill line is 5 7/8", while this basket's height is 5 1/4". This basket has a plain SS handle, not the silicone lined one shown in the picture, so I had to use a fork to access it. It seems quite sturdy, and cleans up well in the dishwasher. I use it to make pork bone broth. It comfortably holds ~ 5 lbs of neck bones and some vegetables, keeping debris out of the broth. I net about 3+ quarts of bone broth, which is used to make a better tasting Lima Bean Soup.

Until recently, I never saw the use of a steamer basket for my Instant Pot since I just used the rack that came with it; however, I realized that the set-up wasn't ideal, especially when I make baby potatoes. This mesh basket fits perfectly inside my 6-quart model with enough room, about 1/2" on the sides to let the steam circulate throughout the basket. Larger capacity model will obviously have more room around it.I find the large basket to be the perfect size because it can hold either a small or large amount. It lifts easily from the Instant Pot to keep everything together.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Seriously, if you have an Instant Pot, you need one of these. In an ideal world, the Instant Pot would have come with one. Of course, then it would have cost more, and fewer people would buy them, and so forth, so I get why it doesn't come with them, but without one, you are hamstringing yourself, and denying yourself most of what an Instant Pot can do.
