Perfect identical audio.
The audio is the same as plugin it directly its identical. I don't know if headphone microphones work with this because I don't need it for that.

The cable is expensive. But the truth is you can't find double female connections of this quality anywhere. So it's worth it, it's so well built it's going to last a long time. I use it to connect a Bluetooth DAC, Hi-Res audio transmitter, inside my car, to the speaker audio system.
