Dell D610 IDE memory port now works with SATA SSD
This adapter allows a SATA SSD to work with a Dell D610 laptop. Simply clone your present hard drive to a Samsung EVO SSD of any size equal to or greater than your internal drive using a SATA to usb cable, then remove the hard drive and insert this adapter with your newly cloned Samsung SSD. You will need a special Dell adapter, interposed to match the 44pin connectors. The new drive will stick out about 1/2 inch from the side of the laptop. It slips in and out easily. Only Samsung EVO SATA SSD will work using the Samsung migration software that comes with the SSD.I found my 44pin adapter on eBay.

The part was brand new and well packed
The part looked okay, but did not fit in my female IDE connector no matter what I did. I tried to return it, but Amazon said that there was no need to do so (a very small and cheap item) , and they gave me a refund. Thank you Amazon,

Possibly may have worked, but was way too long for my laptop.
I would have had to cut a hole in my laptop, if I wanted to use this. That wasn't happening, so I returned it.

Works great in my inspiron c600 got a sata ssd in it it does make the drive stick out the side but its worth it for the performance

IDE to SATA. Bang bang.
Does exactly what it says. Let’s you connect a modern SATA drive to an IDE interface. I use this in my first gen Apple TV.

Not Suited For All Laptops
None of the two fit in Dell Inspiron, so basically useless. More specificity required!Meant to return them but good so busy with other deadline projects and the dates expired. So one two more worthless devices in pile.
