Grave Before Shave™ Gentlemen's Blend Beard Balm (Bourbon Scent) (4 oz.)

Perfect scent! this was actually one of the more tough decisions on a purchase that I have made in awhile. I wanted something that smells subtle, manly, and not perfumey, citrusy, minty, or like sun tan lotion. I like bourbon a lot, but I wasn't not sure that I wanted to smell it all day on my face. I took a leap and I love it! it really doesn't smell like bourbon (which is good.) Its scent is tough to describe exactly, but it has a certain woodyness that actually reminds me of vintage wood furniture (namely the teak early 60s hutch that I use as my liquor cabinet) with maybe a super light bit of vanilla. It is subtle, but there all day, and my wife likes it too.But how does it perform?? this is my first time using a beard balm so I don't have much to compare it to but it has been just the ticket to tame my beard. It doesn't plaster the beard into place, instead it seems to condition it, which calms it into submission. I actually find combing it later in the day has better result than right after application. It doesn't take much, and it is not greasy at all.I will be re-ordering once I run out!

I bought this and the same scent in the oil for my husband and I use the oil for my ends of my hair just because it smells too good.

GBS balm works great for a light hold and gives you a hefty amount for a good price. I read everyone say this was the best scent. I honestly don't even smell anything so I'm not sure what they are talking about. It just smells like bees wax. So if that's your thing I'm sure you'll love it as well. I wasn't impressed by the smell. But good product if u want more of a hold with out a clashing scent to any cologne u might be wearing. So plus there. Check out GIBS if your looking for a balm with more of a cologne scent. But it has a very weak hold. So it's has it's own flaws but smells great. All depends on what u really want in your balm. I use both (not at the same time obviously) lol.

One of my favorites. My wife loves the smell too. Has a better hold than most and isn't to greasy at all. High quality compared to other brands.

This product is great. I have tried many different beard care products and this one finds a great harmony between effective moisturizing and too greasy. Very easy to apply, just scrape some on a finger nail, you do need to figure out the right amount for the facial hair you have, rub on your fingers to soften a bit, and apply. Leaves my course and thick beard feeling soft and smooth. Also, does away with any beard dandruff from dry skin folks like myself. This scent is my personal favorite, Viking is second, it doesn't smell like alcohol so you don't have to worry about false accusations, just has a very nice sweet bourbon smell, hint wood. Basically if you have ever spilled bourbon and it dried, once the alcohol disappears that is what this smells like. Life-long customer here!

I’ve been using Viking and a few other ones. That have been hit and miss but the smell was never really there for me. This one has the best smell I’ve ever had. Beard shines and tames. Definitely going to try their other scents as well. 10 out of 10 recommended. Also. Shipping was fast as usual with prime.

GBS has quickly become my favorite brand of beard balms. The first blend I tried was cigar blend and I really loved it. The smell is awesome and the balm keeps my beard well conditioned all day. I recently decided to try another blend with Gentlemen’s Blend. I can safely say I love this blend even more so than the cigar blend. It’s difficult to describe the scent but it’s kind of sweet and fresh smelling. I also feel like it’s a bit milder than the cigar blend. Although once I applied it to my beard, it smelled stronger than actually in the tin. Overall, I’m really pleased. The balm works great, and it smells great doing it.

Great beard balm, I've got a long heavy beard and this balm is just perfect for it, leaves it feeling very soft with just the right amount of hold without leaving it feeling claggy, smells fantastic and the scent lingers without overpowering for a long time, you get little whiff of it all day

Great beard balm. Scent is great. To get the scent out, rub it between your hands to get it warm. You'll smell the difference. Same thing for the oil. I've goth both,and both love em!
