I love this sensor!
Not sure why the others gave it a bad reviewBut I had to give five stars for ease of use and price. I downloaded the app as instructed and it installed on the spot. It’s pretty cool because now I know how long in between my slider door is opened by my kids to let the dog out! “Hey kids.... it’s been 2 hours since the last time you opened the back door.... please let the pup out!” 🤣. I also Like that it shows battery life. I would recommend buying lithium batteries for longer life!

The App required doesn't work
I've had the Smart Home Security App for a few years using my cameras. I tried to add the sensors, but it won't let me. It says my username/password is invalid (it isn't), when I clicked Forgot Password and typed in my email, it said the email was invalid. I tried to make a new account and it tells me the email is already in use. Without the App, the sensors are useless. Very disappointing!

No go - so far. UPDATE: No go - Gave up.
I have 3 Vivitar smart cameras and and I've been very pleased with their performance. That's why I bought 2 WT-06 door sensors to add to my Vivitar device list. The WT-06 door sensors are not listed in the installation app. There's a proximity switch that seems similar, but that doesn't work. I figured I'd just scan the QR code for the WT-06 but unfortunately, my camera will not scan such small bar codes. My phone's camera can't focus on the little .5" x .5" square. I'm at an extremely rural location at the moment. When I get back to my printer/scanner, I'll try enlarging the QR code and hopefully it will scan. Will update in about 10 days.I'm at a different location with a different computer and router. I was able to enlarge the door sensor QR code but the QR code is still not recognized by the app. The instruction manual states that you can enter the device UID number or scan the QR code. I can't find anyplace in the app to enter the UID number. Too bad this sensor isn't one of the listed devices in the app. It would be so easy to install. Nice idea, but the door sensors don't work for me. I will continue to buy the Vivitar cameras as the setup is easy and they work flawlessly from any location.

Batteries usage
It works as advertised. My problem was the battery life. It didn't matter if I used cheap batteries or expensive ones, it only lasted a month and a half at most. After placing it high on the door and basically having to reset it every time I change the batteries not sure if my time is worth the money.

Bad Purchase
This purchase is a bad fit, it doesn’t work with the updated app. This works with the older version app.

Doesn't activate security system
It works great but doesn't trigger the security system if they are activated. Only a notification on your phone. So practically worthless :-(
