Deluxe Black Magician Butler Formal Costume Top Hat

My 10yo g-son was in a play at school and needed a hat like this. It was a great value for the money and it looked and fit perfect. The quality was as expected and not cheap feeling at all. He looked great in it and had fun with it at even at home after the play was over with at school.

This is excellent for stage or cosplay use. It is not meant for the heavy duty use of magician tricks. Don't put a live rabbit in it. :) It is a stiffened felt fabric and is one size smaller than expected. The starch in the fabric keeps the hat in its gorgeous shape but also makes it difficult to stretch it if your head is larger than you expected :) Excellent value for the money and the style. I wore this as part of my DC Comics Zatanna cosplay and it was a great success!

The hat is to big for what I needed it for, but unfortunately I don't have a Ups store to send it back for free and it will cost to much to send it back to you, so I need to cancel the return ship.

This hat runs small. I needed it for an event and didn't have time to order another one, so I ended up wearing the hat, despite it being too small. Three days later, my forehead was still tender to the touch from wearing a too small hat for a few hours (self-inflicted pain, I know). As far as looks, the hat itself looks fine and served its purpose. The material around the rim is a thin, black plastic-like material, but it's not that noticeable unless you are really examining the hat. Is it worth $14? Probably more like $10. If I had to do over, I'd spend more $$ and get a felt top hat.

I needed this hat for a festive costume. Very easy to work with and very light. Not form fitting to a head. It comes a cross narrow on the sides for me, but it's a prop hat that will be used just for such. I used twine, thread, and hot glue and the hat holds well. It's a nice soft outer feeling of fabric with a smooth inside. Very pleased with the product. I will buy from this company again, if needed.
