This is my second time using Beetles and here's what I personally recommend... don't buff your nails. Push cuticles back and clean them well with nail polish remover before applying the base coat, but don't buff them. Yes, this means they will come off sooner, but when they do they pop off in one piece! I'm a stay at home mom of five young boys and wash my hands a fair bit throughout the day. I do use gloves for washing dishes. For the first set I did, I didn't buff my nails and they lasted beautifully for about 8-10 days. Then, all on the same day one nail chipped and then one by one I could easily pop the rest off. My nails were perfectly clean and undamaged underneath and I didn't have to deal with a fiasco of acetone!Then the second time I did my nails I made the mistake of lightly sanding/buffing my nails with a filer, thinking it might help them last longer. They did not last longer--well at least not in nice condition--and came off in pieces. The parts that stayed on were a pain to get off. Plus after I was done using acetone and scraping it off my nails didn't look very happy, they were dry and well...scraped :(I personally don't like dealing with acetone (the mess, the risk of spilling on our wood floors, the chemicals, and the time) so I will never again buff my nails! I will leave them smooth so I can enjoy those 11 or so days of perfect nails before they easily pop off whole, rather than chipping in parts and looking awful for a few days until I take the time to do the full acetone process. Just my two cents!Now my opinion on these particular colors: The Pink Angel collection is fun, bright, and girly. I really love the color of the second-to-last mulberry pink in two layers - it's a perfect hot pink (first pic, right hand). 3 layers gives you more of the true mulberry color which is also very nice but deeper (second pic, left hand). I added one layer of glitter before the top coat.One of the glitter colors in the Pink Angel collection has a base pink color in addition to glitter, the other is a base of clear with darker pink glitter. It gives a few fun options for layering!

Great colors of pinks. Beetles is a Brand I go to a lot because of the quality of Gel Polish, stays on and does not peal off. Very easy to apply, very smooth no clumps . Very reasonable priced for the quality they sale. Highly recommend .

SO CUTE! I’m obsessed with base colors and neutrals colors for my nails, im a very basic yet elegant girl and I love finding nail colors that fit my vibe! my favorite was c389, such a pretty pink color that’s not too bright or too dull. I did three coats and it didn’t look nor feel bulky or thick. 100% recommend beetles 🪲

I’ve only used one of the polishes so far, and I am IN LOVE!!! The policy cures hard, is durable, and the color is bold! I did find I needed two coats to achieve good opacity and uniformity, but I’m a lot more likely to nitpick about those things on my own nails. For an inexpensive set, the bottle size is great, especially when you consider how durable and long lasting it is. The gel is smooth, thick, and not clumpy. There was only mild steaminess when I only had one coat on, hence why I did a second coat. I can’t wait to try the other colors with glitter!!!

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. I love cat eye and now I can do it myself at home with a variety of color options. Seems to be holding up well, had them painted for over a week and still no chips and the color is just as vibrant.

Beetles has become my go-to brand over the past couple of years and I love all their products.I specifically bought this particular set for the two cat eye polishes. (I had a cat eye manicure recently at a salon for the first time and I was absolutely obsessed with the effect). Unfortunately the two cat eye polishes didn’t work. I presumed it was because of the magnet that was supplied (it’s a little piddly thing) so I bought some super strength neodymium magnets (that are strong enough to hold a shelf up!) but even that didn’t work. The polish they used at the salon was more like a fine powder that you could actually see moving as she moved the magnet around. Whereas these polishes just seem to contain big chunks of glitter which are widely spaced and definitely don’t move. Even if they did move I don’t believe you could possibly get the glassy cat eye effect because the particles are too big and too far apart (see the close up in my last pic).I’m giving 3 stars because I love all the colours (even though I already had some of them from a different set - like I say, I specifically bought this set for the 2 cat eye bottles) They still look great and are super sparkly and I will definitely wear them. They are great quality, go on easily and don’t chip. However I can’t hide my disappointment in the fact that they are definitely not cat eye. That is the only reason I bought them, I didn’t need any other polished as I have tons. So it was a wasted purchase. (I wish I knew what the brand was that the salon used, I would buy that in a heartbeat, it was awesome)
