Louder than expected. Great results.
This item works exactly as expected. Several settings for varrying calls. Volume is absolutely unexpectedly louder than anticipated. That was a pleasant shock. We have set out trail cams and it absolutely makes the difference on whether or not we get nearby sightings based in direct correlation on if we use the squalls or no use at all. Definitely made a huge impact on drawing coyotes closer.Very grateful for that.

Really nice for the price.
This low priced, compact little caller is perfect for someone who wants to get started in predator calling. The price is hard to beat and it works very well. I measured 100 yards and the call responded to the remote every time.It doesn't blast the country side with ear splitting howls like the $200-$400 dollar units but for the price of this unit, it can't be beat and it is more than adequate to call in a critter.

Not bad for the price
If you want to do serious hunting you might want to up grade to higher quality. You have to be fairly close to use the remote. dont go by what the booklet says. But for fun it works.

Not Good - poorly made in China
In my experience this is not a good unit. I field tested it and it would not receive a signal from the remote at distances of over 40 feet or so. I tried two sets of batteries, 1st ones were alkaline (Dura Cell) which the cold outside sapped almost immediately. Then I tried very expensive (Dura Cell) Lithium and that helped for about 20 minutes then the same result, the remote would not recieve the signal.I have sent this model back, and ordered the more expensive ICOtec 300 model. Hopefully it will be better, if not it will go back too. (update 1-19-2013 New one didn't work right either. It's going back too).I think Amazon should drop this particular unit from their website, it is junk.I have heard good reports about the FoxPro models from friends who hunt.Foxpro is a USA made product with a 3 year warranty as opposed to this Chinese model with a 1 yr limited warranty. I am going to start buying US made goods, our workers need our support.

About what was expected
Had 5 coyotes in view at 1000 yards, down hill and downwind; played all calls for 15 minutes each - watched the coyotes thru a spotting scope to see how they'd react - no reaction whatsoever from the coyotes. Either the coyotes were deaf, or they didn't feel like reacting in any way to the call.

Works great
Gave it a 5 star for the price. Have taken it out for a few months now and have had a lot of luck set up the call and used the remote between 50-100 yards and work great. Also called in a lot of coyotes and even some red tail fox cant beat it for the price.

Good Quality
Very Loud. Better sound than I thought for the price. Will be loud enough for anything that we need it for, as long as we keep fresh batteries in it. Rechargeable batteries with car adapter is one thought for having those.

Great unit at affordable price.
First of all, this call is great for its price unless you want to spend over $300.00 for a FoxPro or some other top name brand. I read all the customer reviews before purchasing this call and most of the negative reviews were based on that the call wasn't very loud. Mine is plenty loud enough and you need to remember that a predator such as a coyote, lynx or a bobcat all have very acute hearing. What may not be considered loud for us will be like ringing a large dinner bell to a predator and like all animals, they need to be within hearing range to hear it too.
