Works great.
Before I upgraded to the Lyman powered cleaning kit, I used this pocket cleaner for hundreds of cartridges. It works greats and fit my hand perfectly. I still have to use it on occasion for that odd brass requiring a custom touch.

Very stiff and small brush
Unexpectedly undersized. The "large" and "small" pocket brushes were surprisingly undersized. I guess it's to ensure that they fit into the primer pockets with ease. Using my Pittsburgh caliper (from Harbor Freight Tools - so, not dead on balls accurate) the outside diameter of the bristles on the brushes measured:0.175" large brush diameter0.155" small brush diameterThe exposed bristles are 0.16" - 0.2" in length from where they are held in place by the holder. All of that means that on a Federal Case for a 308 Winchester (which uses Large Rifle primers for standard rifle loads about 0.124" high x 0.209" diameter) the bristles easily fit into the primer pocket and they will scuff away any primer residue on the bottoms of the pockets. The sides of the pockets can be cleaned as well, with a little attention to details. I do not expect that any cleaning of the pocket sides will lead to re-sizing of the pocket (making primers loose fitting), since the pocket side walls will only be scrapped with the rounded sides of the bristles of the brush. Not very abrasive. With the Primer Pocket Brush cleaning the bottom of the primer pocket, the shoulder of the brush holder is only slightly elevated above the end of the case. So don't expect the bristles to bend or flex very much. The "no roll handle" does have three slight flat spots to more accurately "slow and stop rolling" on your desk surface. There is a hollow storage area in the handle (accessible under an over sized plastic screw in plug on the top of the handle) where the brush(s) not in the handle easily fit. It looks like you might only be able to store 10 brush attachments in there.Pros - looks well built to last a long time (after all you shouldn't be using to clean tar off the underside of your car; just a little stuck on powder from a brass case - delicately).Cons - the business ends of the bristles are only a little more uneven and random in length than I would prefer. But that's just me.Overall - it's a nice addition to my tool collection and I'm glad I finally have one. I only gave it four stars because it didn't wow me, which I admit, would be hard for a Primer Pocket Brush to do.

It works, best inexpensive tool for pockets that I ever used so far.
Great Product. After shopping around on amazon I found this set at a reasonable price with free shipping. I shoot a lot of 300 blackout so that can get expensive. After cutting and depriming I wet tumble, then I neck the case etc. I then finalized with a vibratory tumbler and the pockets still have carbon. I do buy the nastiest 223 brass by the thousands, but after all that work the pockets are still dirty on the bottom. Not even a cheapo lee pocket cleaner or the pocket former will get all the carbon.Simple enough, this does it. I just did 100 cases before posting this. As others have mentioned, its not an exact fit, but it gives a little wiggle room to shim around the edges. Very stiff wires. Cant say how long it will last.In reality any stiff wire type brush that fits in the pocket should work; I give it 5 stars becase it works and beats buying a sonic cleaner. So for twelve ninety five, this gets the job done.Anothet RCBS product thats replacing another brand.

Quick, and Easy
Have been using other mfg's primer pocket cleaning tools and not been impressed. Recently purchased this RCBS tool to give it a try. It beats all others hands down. The steel brush instantly cleans the pocket with two turns, and does not remove any brass. The other mfg's tools are solid steel, and can remove brass from the pocket when you bear down on them. No need to apply a lot of pressure with this tool. It also cuts down the time it takes to clean a pocket. You will be impressed with it's ease of use and how shiney it gets the pocket. Don't normally rant, but quality tools impress me.
