Clean and neat installation
Easy install. I first steam cleaned and allowed to dry for a few days. Floors are radiant heat. Just before install I cleaned toilet base and floor with Acetone and allowed to dry. I purchased the factory tool to push in the edging tight and uniformly. I have not tugged on edge or end and final opinion will be amended and noted if needed over time. The adhesive has a bit of gooey feel to it and seemed extremely sticky which is initially comforting. With the heated floors this should be an ideal installation. Remains to be seen! I really like the tidy look over the initial paintable caulk I applied to seal the toilet to code. This application was purely decoration . I am hoping the underlying caulk will allow for better adhesion over the long term. This is a commercial application and the floor it abuts is mopped every other day. We shall see. 2 months report: Still perfect and tight. No change. A+++

Works well for hardwood and LVP flooring
The InstaTrim self-adhesive trim works well to cover the gaps where hardwood or LVP flooring abuts to walls, cabinets, and curved surfaces. It's easy to install and can cover gaps up to 3/8 inches. It can be cut to size using regular scissors. It's made of plastic and has a sticky and flexible backing that conforms to the shape of the surface that it's attached to. It provides a nice and clean look to cover gaps in areas where traditional trims are hard to install. It comes with corner pieces that can be used around corners, or you can cut angles on the trim using scissors to make precise corner edges.

Much nicer than caulking
This was much easier to work with than caulking, and you end up with a perfect finish. The gooey adhesive reminds me of plumbers putty. I ordered the ivory to better blend with my solid wood bathroom countertop and the ivory mother of pearl wall. It is fairly easy to cut with good scissors, and was Abe to cut 45⁰ angles for the corners. My only gripe is the raw ends could really use some type of finishing cap. I ended using biscuit caulking to encase the ends and make them blend better. So I didn't actually escape having to use caulking. I plan on ordering more to use between the flooring and shower pan instead of 1/4 round that catches dust and water. Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

Doesn’t stick quartz to quartz.
Mixed review. Stuck, worked and looked great on our kitchen counter. Quartz to backsplash tile. However, it did not stick at all to the bathroom counter. Quartz to quartz. We are in a new build so we are experiencing some settling. Very happy with kitchen but very disappointed with bathroom.

Looks great when installed - but gets worse every month!
I’ve never been a fan of messy caulk jobs - esp when at least one of the surfaces is really nice tile or stone. So after reading a story about this product & the Twin Cities company that makes it, I ordered several rolls right away. It has now been less than 1 year since I installed it. Got a ton of compliments early on & several folks even asked where I bought it. I have a strong construction background so I made sure to read the directions closely in order to determine how to prepare the surfaces & much pressure to apply when “sticking” the caulk backer into the gap between the 2 surfaces. I also knew that if I stretched it too much when applying pressure the joints would most likely separate. So I didn’t stretch the product at all. The joints around the 3 sides of my corner whirlpool & vanity sink top that meet the mosaic stone backsplashes looked awesome! But even though our basement is climate controlled - in-floor radiant heat, dehumidifier, humidifier & air quality monitor too - this product looks like crap just 9-10 months later. All the corner joints have pulled apart & there are several spots where it is pulling away from the backsplashes. And where I used it to fill a gap between a painted beam & a painted tongue & groove ceiling, it’s falling off - even though I’ve reapplied pressure several times after seeing it coming loose. So it was a complete waste of money & now I have to remove it & clean the surfaces all over again so I can use a good silicone sanded caulk that matches the grout I used for the mosaic stone. Which is exactly what I wanted to avoid & why I bought this product! What a major disappointment!

This is easy and looks great!
I had a problem sink area. The caulking that was there kept breaking up and looking terrible only after a few months. I tried this trim and it looked first class. Easy to place as it is very flexible. Just the right thickness. You can correct a wobbly edge easily by pulling it off and replacing it correctly. Once it's pressed firmly, it doesn't move. Cleaning is easy and it's water tight. Cut to correct size with standard scissors, no special tools needed.

Here’s The Key
The key is to warm it before using. I used a hairdryer to warm up the adhesive, then slowly laid it around the toilet base. My left fingers were guiding and pushing around the base while my right hand was pulling the plastic off the adhesive. Then I ran my fingers around it all again to really smooth it out and make sure it was adhering. If I had not heated it up first, it would have been much more difficult to use and probably would not have adhered the best.

Good product
Put this at the bottom of the tub. It looks great and was easy to use.

Love how it's finishing off where the counter and tiles meets. Give about a cm extra till it settles and then cut it off at the edges - all mine, even in the corners, had to be filled in.

I wasn't sure when I got this product if it was going to be a "shopping channel gimmick" or truly provide the solution I needed for cracks / gaps between my new vinyl floor panels and the walls. Still not totally sure it does the detailed job that a professional cut trim would do - but so far it looks ok and makes the edges look neater and tidier. First off, we did have to use caulking as the floor panels would shift and move around without something strong to adhere them to the wall. Plus the InstaTrim does not appear to be watertight at all. There is a gap along below edge lines as there is no adhesive on the edges. I wouldn't use this as a sealant for any shower / washing area as water is sure to flow underneath and cause mold or damage below. The adhesive is just a "sticky tack" / blue tack kind of material which is not very strong. We ended up using super glue along the whole trim to keep it down and from bending inwards and coming off from the wall. Also, inside corners were easier to do than outside ones, but you we were able after trying other methods to do a proper corner (first attempt involved making a triangle insert). Time will tell if this truly last with mopping / cleaning of the floor and joints or if it peels off quickly and is not worth it.

Love everything about this tape. Super easy to use, looks clean and finished after. I wish there are more colours to choose from, it’s not a close match to our decor. But gap no more!
