TRIPAR Large York Metal Display Stand for Pictures, Artwork, Bowls, Cookbooks, Platters, & Plates

I have spent a very long time looking for a large plate stand that could hold large and heavy platters. Thankfully, I have finally found it!! This stand holds my 14 inch square platter by Spode that is around 8 pounds!! And another added benefit to this stand is that it does not wobble and has nice rubber feet that keep the stand in place and from slipping. And the added plus to the rubber feet, is that it will protect your counter top and your china cabinet. I love platters and pretty bowls and with this great stand I can now display them!

I purchased this for the two oriental bowls. However I am uneasy utilizing the stand as neither bowl can be placed so the edges are secured with the front prongs. I tried a large soup bowl, no problem. I tried a crystal bowl which fits but due to the bottom having a pedestal it made the bowl lean to far forward to display and look nice. A flat bottomed lead crystal bowl worked better. Platters oval, round and rectangular were no problem. The large porcelain turkey platter fit the best as it provides the best angle for display. It seems very sturdy. Even the bowls that did not have a lip to go behind the front prongs didn't seem to be unsteady (I am a bit neurotic about those bowls). Looks nice, not a shiny finish, good weight. Sturdy enough to hold heavy lead crystal yet simple design looks good with more delicate items.

This stand is perfect for a large heavy decorative platter in my kitchen. After I ordered it but before it arrived, I happened to see some similar-looking ones at a local T J Maxx - for about half the price. Looking at them, I was concerned that they might not stay together as the joints didn't seem well-connected. Decided to wait until mine arrived, check it out and if it didn't look sturdier and better put together, I'd return it to Amazon and buy one of the cheaper ones. Well, when the York stand arrived, it was clear that the old saying "you get what you pay for" applied in this case. This is a much nicer stand, very solid, not wobbly and with little plastic feet on the legs to protect the surface it stands on. I'm very satisfied with this. It's nice looking, too.

I ordered it because I wanted to display a bowl, and this stand works perfectly. I love the style and the quality. Very pleased that it also has little rubber tips on the feet so it does not scratch the wood of my hutch. This was a good purchase!

Looked everywhere for a stand to display a large decorative blown glass bowl I have. The bowl is 15 inches diameter, and 5 inches deep, and very heavy! This stand holds it perfectly! My only complaint is that I wish I could adjust the stand so the bowl could lean back just a tad rather than stand straight up and down. Other than that, the stand is perfect for large, heavy bowls!

I needed something for a large plate, and this stand fit the bill, so much so that I have now ordered three of these plate or bowl holders. One I used for a sixteen inch diameter bowl (see photo). The third I have in reserve for future use. I would definitely recommend this for larger plates or bowls. Very attractive and sturdy. Would use this seller again.

I have ordered four of these over the last couple of months. I saw some reviews about missing foot pads but I've never had a problem. The first two came with tags taped to the stand itself and I had a hard time getting the adhesive off but the tags were just tied on for the next two orders. A big time saver. They work fantastically. Really stable even with items of some weight.

We bought this metal stand to hold a decorative plate which measures 12" x 12". The stand holds that plate perfectly and keeps it at an angle such that the plate really stands out. Naturally, you don't actually see the stand but that's not why you buy it. You want it to hold whatever you wish to display and not call attention to the stand itself. I believe that this stand would be primarily for indoor use but it could probably be used outdoors if protected. At its low price here on Amazon, it represents excellent value for money. This is a very sturdy stand that can a compare a very large bowl.

I bought it for my amethyst geode. It took a longtime before finding the perfect stand for it. It is sturdy, stable and has a wide enough pins to accomodate the geode. It also has rubber cover to prevent scratches and sliding. Love it.

This serves it's purpose but as other commented it was missing the protective front leg "feet". I ended up sticking small felt pads to protect my new tables so it is good. I have ordered 2 more.
