I ordered two of these knives,kept one and gave the other to a friend.I sharpened both razor sharp.holds a good edge.very comfortable handle and balance.probably order one more very soon.TY.

Beautiful blade with great balance

The knife was beautiful. The sheath on the other hand was hardly worth it, the metal rivets and snap will scratch hard against the blade. Highly suggest custom making your own sheath.

Big sharp knife

My knife was delived a few minutes ago so when I opened it, I was dissapointed that the quality of workmanship was not what I had hoped for. First off, there was a curl in the blade-edge that should never happen with a brand new knife that's sharpened in the factory. They should have used a honing steel or strop to remove this before packaging. If I keep the knife, I would try to use my honing steel to remove the curl, myself, or failing that, return it. Second, there is a large and small pair of nicks or chips in the butt of the knife. This appears to have come from improper handling at the factory, because it was packaged so well. It is disappointing because it is so visible even when the knife is inside the sheath. This will make or break my willingness to keep the knife. As I have only just received the knife today, I will decide later. Overall, the blade is well balanced and seems to be of high design quality, but it is sad that the manufacturing quality was lacking when they made mine.

Parts of the Damascus layers were completely worn off. Rust spots on handle.

Not hand forged, put together by hand. Damascus is acid etched on from a stencil and I was able to scratch to clean steel with only my finger nail. There is no pattern in the steel below the surface. Not full tang. I can see light under the blade where it meets the guard and it’s a welded rod in the handle. That said, it’s decently sharp, looks best in the sheath. Got it for a renn faire and it won’t leave the sheath anyways now that I’m aware of the actual quality. Decent decoration or addition to a cosplay or renn faire but will not Hold up up close to somebody that knows metal and blades.

Feels great in the hands. 4 stars because it was slightly blunt when it arrived, but simple to sharpen.
