Adrianna Papell Womens Short Sleeve Blouson Beaded Gown

I got the blush gold color for a Christmas Concert. I absolutely love this gown. I’m 5’ 5” (5’ 4.5” to be exact) and 133 lbs and I got it in size 2, size I normally wear from Adriana Papelle and it fit very well and very comfortable, plenty of room. I made the right decision by not sizing up. The only alteration was for length, half inch of outer material and 1” from lining. I read the reviews about the beading. My dress came in all beads intact but it did loose a few beads of a row in the back in the process of dry cleaning and trying on, I can’t say when. The gown came with extra beads and I fixed the one row in the back and reinforced a few that were loose. Totally worth it, the gown is delightful, just loved it, a total vision.

This dress is absolutely a winner. The color, the silver design running through the fabric are perfect without being overly done. This gown would be appropriate for a very formal wedding without missing a beat. It does run slightly small because it is form-fitting. I chose not to wear it because it was a little over the top for the wedding I was attending. (I was very disappointed but did not want to outshine at a slightly informal outdoor wedding.) I would highly recommend this beauty as it is well made, very attractive and is priced right on target. It will make you feel like you are on the runway at the Oscars!

I wore this dress to our daughter's wedding. The dress was beautiful and very flattering. I had it hemmed, but I expected to since I am only 5'1". I got lots of complements and was told how elegant I looked in it. It was comfortable and easy to wear. I will add my caution with other reviews that the beads fall off! I saw the reviews, but told myself that I am very careful and take care of my clothes. I tried to be so careful wearing it, but by the end of the evening, I started losing beads. When they fell off, they were in a line, so it became a problem as a row of beads would fall off. I am upset that unless I fix it, which doesn't seem very easy with the bead pattern, I can't use it again or sell it.

I ordered this dress in August for a wedding on November 2nd. It is a beautiful dress and fit well, not tight at all. However, the first time I sat down in it, the thread attaching the beads to the dress broke. I had 20+ beads on the seat of my car and 15-20 on the seat of my chair at the wedding reception. I cannot wear the dress again because of the missing beads and because it looks like all beads are attached with a continuous thread, so I cannot find a way to stop more from falling off.

I just received my dress, stopped what I was doing and tried it on. I was nervous about it, too, wondering if it would fit and how it would fit. I figured any body bulges would be eliminated with shapewear, so if I could get it on without, I was home free. It fit like a glove! After reading some of the reviews (after I bought it), the sequin/beading issue kind of bothered me, but with the handy dandy bag of beads and sequins that came with the dress, a small sewing kit in my clutch, I should be good to go. My husband will help if I lose anything from the back and I can handle the front. Ladies, this is a reminder of what can happen with beads and sequins on clothing. Being prepared ahead of time is the key!

I ordered the dress for my daughter's wedding. Beautiful dress but stitching in the back was poor that the beads were falling off... had to return. I may reorder and hopeful it will be better inspected.

I loved wearing this dress to my granddaughter’s wedding. It was very elegant and so comfortable to wear. It is beautifully made. I did have to have it hemmed, though. I’d say it runs long.

My daughter picked out this dress for me to wear as the mother-of-the-bride for her wedding. It fit me perfectly, I just needed to have it shortened a little bit. I'm 5'6" tall. It was flattering on my full-figure. I received so many compliments. This dress is so elegant and classy. I also liked the price. Can't go wrong with this dress.
