Grind mechanism is awkward because it's all plastic. Turning handle gets stuck. Stickers wash right off. But it was fun thing to do in a hot day with the grandkids.

So nostalgic!

Bought this for grandkids. The product that came in Nov 2023 had an expiration date of Nov 2021. The "powder" wasn't a powder at all and was unusable.

I ordered this just for old times sake, remember having one as a kid. I also remember cranking away trying to get even the smallest littles sno cone made. it is still the very same product has not changed or improved one bit! the ice shavings it makes are more like tiny little crunchy bb's not really shaved ice and it takes a great deal of effort and time to get even a tablespoon of "snow"modern day kids would not think this was cool after about 10 seconds. the mix they send is tasty but just make a small amount of it otherwise you have a huge amount of super sweet stuff and maybe one tiny tiny sno cone. so most of it would just go in the trash. as a novelty its cute but you'd be better off just tossing some ice in a blender.

It's Old School.

My biggest complaint about these syrups is that they were two weeks past the expiration date when I received them! I made the syrup anyway and everyone survived but it's the principle of the thing. When you order something brand-new, it should not already be expired when you receive it. Buyer beware.

If you have the Sno Cone maker you must have the refill pack. Nothing like wanting to make some sno-cones and not having what you need!
