Awesome knives great sharp edge love the plastic handles and could you put them in the dishwasher (Will obviously lose edge faster like this). Still need regular honing like any other knives. I really like the big chef’s knife, the bread knife, and the serrated tomato knife. I personally don’t use the small serrated knife or the small pairing knife very much.

Best utility knives for home cooks. Excellent quality and easy to maintain. It’s what your butcher is using, how could you go wrong? Super sharp out of the package! Gifted these with a packet of plasters 😂😂 if you only had this set, you would have all the knives you need.

I was excited to buy my first ‘proper’ knife set. I’ve bought cheap sets before from various shops and supermarkets but they’ve been cheap & cheerful - doing the job but blades get rust spots and get blunt quickly, in some cases the blades loosen from the handles. etc. This Victorinox knife set arrived in a nice box. Not too flashy, but simple and functional. Getting the first knife out I realised how lightweight these knives are. Almost too lightweight, I thought. This is due to the simple black plastic handles. They’re easy to hold and the blades as extremely sharp - the precision is incredible, but the cost of these knives has been kept (fairly) low by the handles, which do - if I’m being completely honest - do feel a little cheap. I have zero complaints with all of the blades, the comfort in using them, the lightness of wielding the knives when chopping or cutting, and the fact that I have every knife here for any culinary whim I may have.. I only mention the slight grumble with the handles as it’s my honest viewpoint. It really is quite minor as they’re comfortable and light. For the price (£72 at time of review) you’re getting some seriously good quality, dishwasher safe blades from a reputable brand and they will last several years

Great set of starter knives for a chef, they are extremely light weigh and really durable. They are also very sharp too which makes the everyday chefs jobs a lot easier

Well made knifes and a brand well recognised Use these at work as I'm a chef. Chefs knife is 18cm/7inch in blade length and the bread knife is 21cm/8inch in blade length. All came sharp and ready to use. Is have prefered a pastry knife over the bread knife but otherwise a perfect set.

Muy buenos cuchillos, relación calidad-precio la mejor del mercado, me ha salido por 66 euros el pack de 5 cuchillos, en mi opinión quitaba los dos serrados pequeños para verduras e incluiría unas tijeras y sería el pack perfecto para empezar. Muy buen filo, el cuchillo del chef corta el papel sin pestañear. El acero se ve que es de calidad, tiene el brillo característico del inoxidable pulido. Las empuñaduras de plástico negro de buena calidad y cómodas, en un acabado mate agradable al tacto. Lo comento porque me compré un pack de Arcos, los cuchillos eran muy finos, el metal ya se veía sin brillo, como que se fuera a oxidar y me salía a 55 euros, sin embargo este por su precio es la mejor opción sin duda.

I've owned my Victorinox collection for 2 years at least, and even my boyfriend who owns the Zwilling Bob Kramer 2.0 knives is super impressed with my Victorinox knives. He's typically such a snob when it comes to any and all things in the kitchen, so for him to give an enthusiastic stamp of approval on the Victorinox knives is really a testament to their quality. My collection consists of the Victorinox fibrox cleaver and 8" chefs knife, plus this swiss classic collection of 8" bread knife, 7" carver/slicer, tomato knife & serrated and straight edge pairing knives. The only difference as far as I can tell between the fibrox and swiss classic are that the fibrox handles are rounder in girth. The materials and quality appear the same to me. Some folks might claim that the handles are cheap plastic, but I very much disagree... These textured handles help maintain precise control and a firm grip even with wet, slippery, and slimy hands which not only improves your knife skills, but safety as well. In the years since I've owned this set, they've kept their razor sharp edge & have not discolored or rusted. I love them so much, I bought my mom a set. Although I purchased 2 additional knives, this swiss classic set is really all you need if you want a more downsized but complete set. I use the knives in this set more than even the fibrox chefs knife and cleaver.

A really great deal on a fantastic set of high quality knives. I don’t care about the handles I’m not fancy, I do care that the blades are sharp and do what I require. These are perfect.
