Not Safe
I have used Tiki Cat for a long time. No complaints. But this, I don't care if cats can digest cooked bones. They shouldn't have to. This is DANGEROUS. Yeah the spines crumble, but those two little ball things? They dont crumble. Rock hard. I thought they were eyeballs, there was flesh around them. I peeled the flesh off, and there's a hard white ball in the center. What the heck is that??? My cat ate only the gel anyway, which still contained tiny bones. He started spitting stuff out. Because there's so much cartilage in bones. Is my cat not worth better food? I usually love Tiki, but what is this? I'm not happy with this particular line/flavor/type of theirs. Now all 12 cans will be thrown away. It's not even worth making back.

Doesn’t stink and 3 cats really like it
The media could not be loaded. Here is what I wish I had known before purchasing Tiki Cat Hawaiian Grill ahi tuna:1) My cats not only demand this food, they don’t throw it up. Don’t act like you don’t know what a demanding cat looks and acts like. Each of the 3 females has her own demanding behavior. Two are silent demanders and really cute when they want wet cat food. The dry kibble is always available. The third is quite vocal in her demands which say “That litter box stinks and I’m not gonna use it til you clean it” and “You know that good food in that thingy that makes a scratching sound? I want it and I want it now.”Throwing up is a big issue for my cats. One has a small stomach and fills quickly with dry cat food no matter the brand. When she drinks water, the dry food swells up in her stomach and come back up all over the house and sometimes it’s hidden. I feed her a high quality dry food so the clean up is easy and mostly undigested kibbles. Still the constant cleaning is a pain and finding dried throw up is still a surprise. I tried switching to wet food as recommended by the vet. She threw tha up too. Cheap wet cat food was thrown up. She will not eat home cooked cat food. One day a staff person at a big box pet store said customers really liked the Tiki cat brand. My cat threw up the dried version but ate the wet version without throwing up. I have learned to keep the wet food to about 2 tablespoons twice a day. She still likes her dried kibbles (Merrill turkey and duck.) I spread out the wet food over time so her tummy does not overfill. She likes the dried food at the end of my day. Her stools are good. She only likes the ahi tuna. She throws up tiny hair balls but not when she eats the ahi tuna in moderation. If the wet food and dry kibble is mixed together she throws up in minutes when the dry kibble moistens in her tummy and expands.Cat number 2 has a food allergy where she breaks out into hives making her sick almost to death. She eats Tiki cat foods but doesn’t like the chunks of meat. She licks off the juice and leaves the meat. The Ahi tuna is shredded so she eats everything. She’s a fat cat so I limit her to two tablespoons. She stopped breaking out into hives with the Merrick turkey and duck kibble which is more budget friendly than prescription cat food. The ahi tuna is shredded which is the texture she likes.Cat number 3 is not a fan of wet cat food but will eat Tiki cat ahi tuna. She likes finely shredded foods and the ahi tuna is finely shredded with a little gravy which she enjoys very much. She is long haired with hugs long hair balls. She has far fewer hair balls when she eats Tiki cat ahi tuna. A good shave and the wet cat food settles her stomach and the throwing up stops.2) 1 can can be divided between three cats because the meat is finely shredded with a little gravy and pressed into the can. When lifted with a fork - there’s a lot of meat in the little can.3) I wish I had known there was a lot of meat pressed into the little can. I started out giving each cat a full can which wasted a lot of food - which the dog(s) ate.4) The meat does not stink. The smell is mild.5) The cost is divided among 3 cats per can which is a real savings.6) Try the variety pack to see which version work for all 3 cats - then stop buying the variety pack because the cats are picky and licking the gravy off the chunks is a waste of food and money.7) The packaging is cute but what’s inside the can is first rate serious food. You know what I’m talking about - that nasty slimy stinky stuff called “cat food.” Ugh.8) Compare prices.9) Change is good.10) Cat food doesn’t have to stink to be attractive to cats.Bonus: the dog likes to lick the he can. He has skin allergies caused by food ingredients and the environment. He’s a Westie mix. He hides the cleaned cans in his doggie bed and they don’t stink and neither does his mouth. The food in the can doesn’t trigger allergies. Video is cat #1 who likes to eat in different places but especially where cat #3 can see her eat first because she is #1. Cat 3 is waiting intensely off camera. Cat #2 is asleep with a full belly off camera. After cat #1 ate, cat #3 ate but Amazon only allows the upload of one video. Let really like this food. Their stool is good and if they don’t overeat, they don’t throw it up. The number of hairballs drop to zero.I hope this product works as well for you has it has for my 14 year old cats (#1 and #2.) I can’t promise you will have the same results, but I can say it’s worth a try. The vendor shipped and the product was delivered in a timely manner. I found no difference between this product purchased on Amazon and the product purchased in the big box store. I get no compensation for this review. I just like to have real life feedback and try to give it when I find a great product.

Tiki cat excellent for diabetic cats.
One of my cats is a diabetic and an indoor feral which means he does not like contact of any kind. I tried testing his blood once and he hid under my bed for three weeks after that. I've opted not to terrorize him with insulin shots. I stayed up one night researching alternative treatments for diabetic cats and found a study from an aggie school that said, just like human diabetics, cats should have a higher protein diet. They researched 1500 brands and types of cat food and found that most of Tiki cats varieties have between 90% and 100% protein. Other information found that the guaranteed analysis on pet food is not accurate. The best thing to do is read the first six ingredients. Pet food manufacturers now add things like peas and pea starch and are able to say they are grain free. Peas are a different kind of carbohydrate and while not as bad as wheat products, are basically a filler. I find that when I feed my cat Tiki cat in the morning, he doesn't ask for more food most of the morning. Of course, he wants what the other cats gets (more normal foods) but I indulge him. I find that he does better and is more active when he's eating mostly Tikicat.

Your cat would kill you for this if they could
CAUTION: this is the kind of food your cats plot to kill you for. Like put on armor if feeding a clowder because they come running, leaping, climbing from all over. And then you have to stand guard because the first to finish will battle for the rest.I suggest flinging food into protective contact areas like they feed lions.

It tastes like real food (yes a human did try it)
Our cat is a 19-lb who has been chunky from birth but he's been on a strict diet for awhile which his vet recommended eating brand that just wasn't working for him and made him hungrier (Hint: Cheap ingredients with tons of carbs). Added to that he's picky. Very picky. He ends up puking when he consumes anything chicken or non-seafood diet. And because he's getting old we switched from dry to wet but this Tiki King Kamehameha was a big hit!And I was curious and tried a small bite of tuna. It's not bad! Knowing they're eating quality ingredients and not fillers and all sorts of junk I wasn't surprised it actually had decent flavor. I'm sure for cats it's very much salivating.Shrimp and salmon has always been his favorite but since we started giving him this food there's not one flavor he hasn't devoured as if that was his last meal. I swear his meowing has got louder since getting food. He must love it that much. He also seems fuller and sometimes don't finish the entire can which is a shock considering his size. The sardine for example actually looks and smells like sardine...tuna smells and tastes like tuna.

Someone's making a profit
This same product(12 assorted 2.8oz cans) can be bought from Amazon in the US for around $10 (6.5 pounds). Make sure you pick some up when you visit! But it's still the best cat food at any price,

True, high quality catfood.
This food is on another level than other brands. It's common to see whole chunks of fish, all properly shredded and de-boned. Very good moisture content in the mix as well. My cat is late-adulthood, and this food was a big factor in terms of energy and diet variety. Very easy for feline digestion as well, which is important for older cats. IMPORTANT NOTE: Given this food is not typical crude protein found in most brands, you should consider properly transitioning your cat to the new diet if you are introducing them to the Tiki cat brand. Mix it in gradually with existing diet over the course of a week (days with 25%, 50%, 75% mix, for example) for a proper, healthy transition.

My Cats LOVE This Stuff!
My cats love this stuff! They can both be pretty picky although the one is pickier than the other. Until now they wouldn't anything but salmon pate catfood. I'm surprised they actually likes the big chunks of grilled fish, usually my boy, whose the least picky, would just lick the gravy off anything that wasn't pate. The girl would just turn her nose up at it and walk away. Both of them chowed down the whole bowl of this. Will have to find somewhere local to buy it though its a bit pricy online.

More than half with HUGE dents
Out of the 40 cans I purchased, only 15 cans were intact.25 cans were dented, some with HUGE dents in them. This seller is a scam, DO NOT PURCHASE.EDIT: I purchased a set of the smaller 2.8oz cans and all turned out fine, so increased from a 1 star to 3 star rating. Will monitor to see if the problem was limited to the 1st batch of 6oz cans I received and adjust my rating accordingly.EDIT 2: Bought another batch of 2.8oz cans and 8 out of 24 were dented again! Horribly inconsistent packaging
