SIM card goes under silver flip up cover under batt. AWESOME!!
I love that this tech is so affordable!! So refreshing! It’s very easy to remove the back with no tools. There is a notch in the plastic molded back piece.Easy to install the SD card as this part is pretty intuitive. It took me some time to figure out where to put the SIM card as it wasn’t obvious how the silver cover of the space moves. I wasn’t sure if it slid up or flipped up and it wasn’t an easy flip up. So I used a jewelers flat-bladed screwdriver driver and hoped for the best flipping it up. it worked and it was a simple install after that. It took about 30 minutes after registering the SIM card for it to recognized the network. Kiddo called me from daycare! A word of warning, it’s very exciting to the kiddos. Make sure you set up guidelines for when to call.As recommended I used speedtalk- but had to order the prepaid sim card from their website directly as Amazon was out of stock at the time. I figure 5$ is extremely affordable for just being able to call mom or dad.Setting the time is a little tricky and you need patience and a firm finger on the screen.I’m not sure kiddo has explored all the games yet and I haven’t measured battery time yet.So far, I’m extremely please to just have the calling capability if nothing else. It’s affordable and a great way for a kiddo to keep in touch. It’s not waterproof - but with the ease of access to the back that makes sense. It’s wonderful. By the way- the instructions don’t tell you exactly how or where to place the SIM card- which is why I outlined it here.I hope this review helps!

Good so far
Got for Christmas gifts, kids love them. Fit very well. My 5 year old says the games are kinda boring. But they are great for learning and a good price. They look stylish and a great kids first smart watch

Design flaw?
Watch looks great but has a flimsy strap. As soon as we removed it from box and checking the metal fastener got separated out and we had to put it together with the available pin. Since, then it broke down two more times (within 3 days). If the connecting needle is lost, then the watch is of no use or we should look out for a new strap. Not sure if anybody else experienced the same problem. It's too much a hassle to return it but may return if it gets separated out again. In summary, for a kid's watch one would expect a little more "sturdy" design!Lowered the rating further! As suspected the strap got separated again but this time there's no way it can be fixed. We will probably try some Gorilla glue! There seem to be no replacement straps either. Waste of money for a watch that hardly lasts 4 months! Can't even return it. I would recommend it at all!

Good smart watch minus the “contacts” part
1-this is not a gps watch (putting that in case anyone doesn’t read the details on the watch) It works good for what it is!2-i bought this for my kindergartener as i’ve had a few times the school sent him home the wrong route (bus when it was daycare pick up and vice versa) I opted for this as the battery life lasts a few days vs a smart watch that has gps that won’t even make it through a whole day before the battery dies. So i have a separate gps unit just for tracking. Btw speed talk mobile sells sim cards for $5, on amazon.... they’re only $5 a month. i have one for my gps and this watch.3-the cons i don’t like: you can’t edit the names, just the phone numbers for the names. Dad is first, then mom and the rest are just numbers. yea i highly dislike this part. My sons dad has nothing to do with this watch and lives hours away so if I put my number in (under mom which is second) the touch screen easily calls instead of swipes so dad would be called first. My solution is that I put my number in all 10 spots. Other than that it seems to be a good watch. Has lots of good features and i appreciate the screen protector that came with (hope it helps!).**I feel I have to add that the touch screen is very touchy. When i was setting up the phone numbers i had many times it would start calling. Also when my son was learning it he would call when he’s trying to swipe. Its just a minor thing for me as I have my number in all the slots but I can see this as an issue if your little is trying to call mom (again who’s second) or any of the numbers after that.

Cannot add names or change avatars for contacts
Ok watch, home screen is not like in the picture, kid has to toggle through a few screens before getting to games. You cannot add names or labels or avatars for contacts, there only Dad with a male picture and Mom with a girl picture and the rest of the contacts are all male pictures and have only numbers instead of names/labels. Would be nice if it had grandma or grandpa. Kid has to at least recognize words or can read to use the watch. It’s very very sensitive and tricky to toggle through contacts, you’ll dial people you didn’t mean to, very annoying and frustrating. Also not clear how to add music to the watch. Comes with one song “let it go” by Elsa from movie Frozen. It says you can add music but doesn’t really go into step by step instructions how to do it. Overall it’s ok for a first watch for a 5 year old but would not recommend to any younger children.

Very pleased with this product upon initial use.
I am very pleased with this purchase. My daughter is 7 years old and doesn't need a whole cell phone and this was a perfect substitution. It feels well built and the wrist band had plenty of notches for a perfect fit. The touchscreen responds well and I was able to navigate the menu easily, even with grown man sausage fingers. The mp3 player came with a surprise Easter egg, the entire song "Let it go" from the first Frozen movie was preloaded. She played it 4 times in a row and the audio is surprisingly good. It has games that are fun classics. The camera isn't the best but then again, this isn't a flagship phone with an $800 price tag, although most smart watches don't even have cameras on them, so it's a bonus. The package arrived quickly and safely, but the box the watch came in was a little beat up and had been cut and taped, the product was in good shape though. All in all, this is a solid purchase. I plan on purchasing a sim card and testing the text and call functions. I will update my review in a month or so after the watch has had a little wear and tear.
