Hard Candy Sheer Glow All The Way Soft Glow Illuminator, 843 Blushing Babe

I'm impressed with this product. I was hesitant to buy it since I couldn’t find many examples on dark skin, but it's truly sheer for all shades. You get a lot for a great price, and a little goes a long way. The formula is a bit thick so it takes a moment to melt/blend, but once it does, it gives a subtle, moisturized glow that looks beautiful when light hits it. For a more dramatic effect, you can mix it with liquid blush & highlighter, but even on its own, it’s gorgeous. Definitely worth repurchasing!

What I expected

This is the only "foundation" I use on my face. I realize that's not exactly what it's intended to be, but for someone with extremely dry, flaky skin a tradional foundation ends up a flaky mess, makes my skin feel tight and looks terrible after a few hours because it settles into fine lines. This stuff is REALLY moisturizing, honestly the best I have found. It goes on almost greasy and stays very tacky until I apply my Smashbox Halo powder (which is also quite moisturizing for a powder). This is good for me because I am able apply and blend cream blush, bronzer and cream eyeshadow without looking like I have inches of product caking my face. Just before I apply the powder, I take a damp beauty blender and blot my whole face to ensure I have everything blended well, then stipple on the powder, wait a few minutes and buff. Soft skin with a "glow from within" look that people notice and compliment me on. I am beyond disappointed that Hard Candy has discontinued this product and have been buying it up when I can get it. The best part is the price for the amount you get. I only use a pea sized amount each time so a tube lasts me about six months. So affordable, but truth be said I'd pay double or triple, and have in the past for inferior products. Please bring this back, Hard Candy! Please!

It’s an oil based primer. I personally don’t care for it.

This gives you the skin you’re looking for. Brighter younger and you don’t know your wearing it. I have been using Hard Candy for years. And will continue to.
