Perfect for homemade fried rice!
I used to occasionally be able to find this at Big Lots but lately it's impossible to find. I was so happy to see I could order it on Amazon. Great taste but you definitely need to use the full amount of rice or less of the seasoning or it becomes overpowering and too salty. Sometimes I follow the recipe on the back and sometimes I just use it as flavoring for a plain fried rice side. Nothing is quite as good as a scratch recipe using fresh ingredients but in a pinch, this takes out a lot of the guesswork.

I have been looking for Sun Bird Fried Rice Seasoning Mix for 5months. I tried Wal-Mart 2 different ones. I tried Publix Grocery. Even Dollar Stores. I don't know but I can figure out how this little packet seems to be the key to helping me & my favorite sister make this just RIGHT for our favorite people. Good price. We use House of Tang Stir-Fry Oil& Sun Luck Pure Sesame Oil. That's all

Target
This makes the best homemade fried rice, full of flavor. It used to be avalible at Wal-Mart, then they discontinued it, so Amazon, here I came. On the other hand, prices here are ridiculously expensive. I've been getting some things from Target, so I decided to see if they had this and they did, at least online, for about $1.28 a package. You can also only buy what you need, as 6 is just way too many for me.

My 'go-to' for homemade fried rice
I moved overseas from the U.S. and, silly me, brought only one packet of this with me. I tried using the ingredient list and recipes I found online to duplicate it but I finally had to give in and order these. I honestly believe that the seasoning mix and easy recipe on the envelope make better fried rice than what I used to get from take-out places. As for where I live now, if you want delicious Chinese food, you *have* to make it yourself. Now if I could just get a decent egg roll <sigh>.
