Until the project is up on the list for replacement of this vintage property where previous owners installed a cheap front door am excited about this trim replacement in the meantime. Oscillating saw easily custom trims the length and sides. With an adjustment to the old flood trim this works perfect. Snug yet easily opens and closes. I particularly appreciate the solid design of this upgrade. Makes the base of door looks fancy shmancy 🏆 Highly recommend this door weatherization option. Wasn’t able to fully dry fit due to super snug. I cut away a 1/2 inch on each side along the front to not interfere with the insulation. Used a metal drill to start the holes once installed. I had to modify the floor transition as the previous was too high. Depending on your set up be aware other modifications might be required for a snug yet functional door opening and closing without impediment. Overall, super happy. Recommend if this product fits your particular circumstances. For me, no more breezeway beneath the door without replacing the entire door and frame (yet) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

This product saved my basement door. I had a steel door at the bottom of a basement stairwell that was severely rusted at the bottom. After sanding off the rust, applying some filler, and repainting, I shimmied this piece on (it requires some force) and screwed it in. It was a game changer. No more water leaks, and it looks darn good. I highly recommend.

Needed something to reinforce the bottom of my basement door after the wood rotted out and the metal began to become frail and flakey. I replaced the wood then added this and the door is good as new. Water tight! Here are a few observations... Cutting to Size: The Aluminum is very easy to cut with hack saw and weatherstripping easy to cut with a utility knife. Installing: Very easy. I Slipped the aluminum over marked the holes, removed it and pre drilled the holes before finally screwing it in place. Very painless process even if you have the most basic skills. Calking Tip: Once installed seal the top of the Aluminum with silicon calking to prevent water from dripping down behind it and into the door. Also put some over the screws as well as they are always the first to rust. For the weather stripping, it was moving slightly so I put a dab on each end to keep it in place but not making it hard to remove if I should ever have to replace it. Would recommend!

What a HORRIBLE product and equally horrible company. This item arrived without screws, without the vinyl insert, and was severely bent and damaged. It was also FAR too wide to fit on a standard door. Will never be buying from this POS company again.

This is a perfect product where the application is a door that is worn out or rusted or falling apart at the bottom. The aluminum is strong enough to to secure the door and make replacing the door unnecessary. There is more than enough aluminum so that you can even cut off some of your worn out door if you want. I chose to just "cap" the bottom of my door. Because my door had some swelling, I had to tap the aluminum unit into place, making sure to not damage the bottom slot for the rubber.

Great for the grave door. Didn’t want to replace the whole thing but it was rusting at the bottom. This was a great alternative.

The Is product fit as it should on the commercial doors and it’s good and solid. Would highly recommend if you need to extend a door lower to meet a new low profile threshold

Bought this for my storm door. The door was wider than 1.75”, but I could bend it open a bit to fit around the bottom of the door. Workers great for filling a large gap at the boot bottom. Heavy duty too, will easily handle Winnipeg snow.

Was able to seal up a large gap (1 ¼") at bottom of door. A threshold bumper had broken away and there wasn't a sweep large enough to take up gap. This worked perfectly. Easy install. Functional gasket.
