Infinity Blade: Redemption (Audio Download): Brandon Sanderson, Samuel Roukin, Recorded Books: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: A new all times favorite - One of the most mind-blowing stories I've ever read, and possibly the best. I was worried about the book's length but between the first and the second volume it turns out that they're exactly long enough for this complex story to be perfected. Infinity blade begins in a bucolic fantasy universe but soon degenerates into a completely new beast, a hard scifi book combining realistic technologies in an unbelievably clever way. Sleight of hand and wit combine with quick thinking and the most inventive use of technology in battle ever described in a fantasy. The hero is a warrior but a smart one, which gives ample opportunity for witty dialog with the occasional drop of good natured sarcasm. One unforeseeable plot twist after the other, the book is a delight even between the other Sanderson books, each of which are unique and amazing. I could talk at length about all these fabulous surprises but it would be a shame to reveal them when i so enjoyed being surprised myself. So i won't. But i wholeheartedly recommend the book. It was so good i might start reading it again tomorrow. Review: gemmelesque - differently played from some of his other works but the story still comes together in sanderson fashion which is only parred with the great fantasy writers, and ive read most of them a good book

AMAZING
I don't usually read but for infinity blade I make an exception because both of the books are exceptional and tell the story of IB in a amazing way if you like infinity blade or you like apocalyptic stories you will fall in love with this book which leads on nicely to the third game the final instalment I cannot wait ! :D

Novella based upon game series
This is the second novella by Brandon Sanderson set in the world of the IOS game series ‘Infinity Blade’. This time it takes place between the second and third instalments. As such it feels quite disjointed from the previous novella as it doesn’t follow on from it directly, the second game lying between the two. Clearly the intention is for this to be read in conjunction with the games at the appropriate stage. Both this and the previous novella work best that way. Any reader coming to this novella first will probably feel somewhat lost to start with as, due to the constrictions of the format, there isn’t much time devoted to setting the scene and establishing characters. Previous knowledge is assumed. Similarly, for much the same reasons, there isn’t really any solid conclusion to the story and the plot sometimes feels a little weak. That is not to say, however, that there aren’t some well-defined characters or some good storytelling. There are some well written moments of self-doubt and self-realisation as characters question their own destiny and existence. The strongest aspect of the story is the comparison and contrast between Siris, Raidriar and Uriel through their own personal journeys/developments. Unfortunately this becomes a little lost in the latter stages. At times the story feels a bit disjointed as certain fairly important events are glossed over almost or dealt with too abruptly. Other characters such as Isa and Tel couls also do with a little more attention. Overall the novella doesn’t work by itself, being so restricted. It does, however, enrich the games. It is a shame that Sanderson hasn’t yet been given the chance to novelise the whole game series, making the two novellas part of a larger novel.

A good read
This was the second Sanderson book I read. A much simpler book then 'the Mistborn' trilogy and 'the Way of Kings' but still keeps you hanging on to see what the ultimate end is

Good
Well written and full of twists and slow discoveries which kept it entertaining. I would recommend this series. Thank you.

review
it was a good book, not as good as Robert Jordan but definitely going the right way. I did enjoy it very much.

Very good
I have never played the game, on which this book is based. However, I like Brandon Sanderson's work and quite happily bought this sequel. I would ideally give it 4.5 stars, because it isn't quite as good as some of his other work, but I didn't want to mark it down to 4 stars. If you've played the game, I am sure you will enjoy the book. If you enjoy fantasy books, then I am sure you will enjoy the book. If you like reading Brandon's books, then this should be part of your collection. I hope there will be more in the series.

I really enjoyed both Infinity Blade and Infinity Blade Redemption. Great ideas, script and plot lines. I have to admit I did not see the conclusion until it was almost upon me. Terrific read, I most certainly recommend purchasing the books and leaving our reality behind for a while, it does the soul good. I hope the next book is on the way soon as I am impatient to read it. Thanks Brandon for giving me the opportunity to escape everything for a while. Sue
