Q: Does the 16 inches include the clasp or not?

Does include clasp, however only 1 link which makes it a bit difficult to clasp.

Q: I have read reviews about the clasp being cheap made. Are you considering improving this part? Otherwise I may purchase elsewhere.

I like th necklace for the price and get compliments all the time but I do wear them daily and nightly and did have a new clasp put on which was minimal cost but after wearing just be sure to wash so the salt and the oil perfume is off and the clasp will wear good. I would buy again.
