Great Update for My Classic Casita
Top brand. All the features. Can’t say whether it will last or not, but boy what an improvement over the original Fantastic Fan in my 2003 Casita! So quiet. I can hear myself! The old one had 21 rivets. Only the corner holes lined up. Drilled 12 new holes. Had to use stainless bolts and Nyla nuts with fender washers. Even so, it went in like a charm. Excellent 3 piece design makes install easy. Used a double thickness of waterproofing tape plus a good edge of white Lexel Stainless phillips heads look great. Interior trim is a little scary because it’s cut to size. Really no problem with a dremmel. Measure twice. Held my trim in place with hd sticky backed Velcro. Looks great. Fan works like a charm. Nice remote—a little big and clunky. Probably so it won’t get lost. Automatic raising and lowering of the cover is cool and a little noisy. Don’t care about the noise. Love this feature. The fan itself is super quiet through about 60%. That’s moving a lot of air very quietly. I’m extremely pleased.

Reverse airflow plus ability use in rain and while driving. Should be stock item on Airstreams
This is our second MaxAir fan install in the past week or so. First one replaced our stock Fantastic fan (exhaust only) that died on our first day of a two month trip to Newfoundland. The first install was tricky on our 2019 Airstream Flying Cloud 28RB front vent as there is a solar combiner that prevents the fan from being installed. We have an aftermarket (AMSolar) solar install with a separate more beefy solar combiner so I just removed the stock one and made a cover plate out of 1/8” Alumium. Second fan install was under two hours. We loved the first one so much, we didn’t want to wait for the rear vent fan to die. You can leave these open in the rain, while driving, and in the rain while driving. With just one fan running, our Airstream was usable on bathroom and lunch stops on our travel days. We’ve done five travel days from NH to WI so far in torrential rain and hot, sunny heat. Make sure when you remove the old fan, you clean up the sealant. Spend extra time in prep and you will reap the benefits for years to come. We fulltime in our Airstream and these vent fans will get a lot of use. Each shipment arrived with the original box in tact, the last shipment had a pretty dented outer box but the inner product box was fine and the fan unit is fine. I reused our existing grey trim plates in our Airstream for each vent fan. It’s not that bad to see the white plate of the base of the fan against the grey trim.

Great fan, remote didn't work
The fan was great, havent played with all the bells and whistles but its alot quieter than the stock cheap fan from the camper and pushes more air. motorized lid works great and it does a great job of keeping water out during the rain. I liked the smoked top.

I need to seriously upgrade my poor review. Unit is great!
I can't believe Maxxair has so many great reviews. I spent hours just removing my existing standard air vent from my motorhome and cleaning off all the old caulking so the Maxxair would fit snug. Installed the new Maxxair deluxe, caulked it onto my roof, wired it and decided to test it out before installing the beauty ring on the bottom inside ceiling. Lo and behold it worked for about 3 minutes then it automatically lowered the hood and shut off. No matter how many times I tried to turn it back on with the remote or the on button on the unit nothing happened. Then I read some other reviews only to find many are having the same problem. It seems Maxxair failed to install a voltage regulator on these fans and they can only handle 12 volts and no more. People with RV's like mine that have solar panels push the voltage up to 13. 8 volts which causes the fan to automatically shut down! How dumb is this. Since I bought this off Amazon late last year right before the nonstop snow fell here in Utah, I didn't have the weather to install it until today. It has been raining daily non stop for most days this year in Salt Lake. So now I am stuck with a lemon and am wondering what I can do? Update I apologize to the manufacturer of the Maxxair. I simply had the fan wired incorrectly. The unit once wired to the correct DC wires runs like a champ! We took our RV dry camping in the mountains last week and the ran worked flawlessly.

High quality fan
Good Fan. I installed this in our camper bath. I like this particularly because of the rain-proof cap. The main fan in our trailer has a rain sensor that closes the lid & shuts the fan down if raining. That results in no cross breeze through the trailer at all. This MaxxAir remains running in the rain and moves plenty of air to keep that breeze going. Its not too loud and installation was as expected. Good quality fan - Im happy with it.

Best tv fan.
I have purchased and installed 3 of these. These fans are great. Can evac hot air quickly but also bring in cool outside air. Saves on AC unit use. Nice to set temperature before leaving camp for the day and come back to a fairly cool camper. Best fan on the market and well worth the price.
