Great waterproofing for gear you can’t or don’t want to use Granger or other wash and proof methods. Restored shell finish to trench coats, Gerry Actete Ski jacket that would reproof with wash n proof. Based on other reviewer comment about darkening, very cool side effect making black materials even more black than you would think possible. Went a little crazy and wash n proofed every bit old and new gear after a soak through experience but had a new Red North-face that is like kevlar but more orange than red. Decided to try making darker with this and was not disappointed. Now it is like Ferrari Red! The smell while drying/curing will knock you out! I left it out in a windy night 40-50 weather. Still had a strong smell. Tried running through a few fabric refresher cabinet cycles, and after that was not quite enough, tossed in dryer (older whirlpool gas with plastic interior) and baked away the smell on low cycle for 15 minutes. The stink does eventually go if you are patient, but obviously I wanted to wear it next day without vomiting.

I don't understand why or how people are not having success with this. It's not a permanent solution but it definitely works well. IT IS NOT ODORLESS WHEN WET. It dries odorless but it has a very strong paint thinner smell when wet. It's definitely best to use outside or out of the main rooms. The smell doesn't linger much in the air BUT DEFINITELY BEST TO WEAR GLOVES, three washes and I can still smell it on my hands. Now the cardboard does have twice as many layers as I used it for two masks (since the outer layer should repel water and people were complaining about a color change I didn't want to ruin something I actually care about) It obviously changed the shade for the cardboard, it's very easy to see what has a coating and what doesn't. It did seem to also darken the shade of my mask but it's not ruined. Definitely worth the buy

Rustoleum Fabric water repellent works great and lasts for months in direct sunlight and regular rain. We used on large outdoor patio Umbrellas that were not manufactured to be waterproof. Rustoleum product made umbrella waterproof and the rain beads and runs off rapidly. It lasts for many hours of use weekly and we only reapply every couple years to keep repellent. It never stopped working. Make sure to wear breathing and eye protection as the product has very strong vapors, do not apply indoors or in windy conditions Highly Recommended

It's not like the spray can stuff. I honestly would even call it misleading to call it SUPER hydrophobic. Ive sprayed 2 coats on everything that i've treated. The fabric doesn't get wet, but the water DOES sit on top, unlike the spray can where the water will literally fall off the surface. Its better than being soaked, but i still have to shake off pretty hard to get the water off. Wish it was a bit stronger.

I needed a product to protect my feet from the weather when I officiate. I spray it on all of my running shoes and cleats that I use when I officiate soccer and football. Love this stuff. Shoes stay breathable and dry inside. I soak them down really well, let it dry and you are good for the life of the shoe.

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 cause it could work a little better ... it works but it isn't perfect... I think I will need to spay the object at least 3 times... I have only done 2 times so far... but I do like it and would buy again!

I didn’t even spray it properly as per instructions but after letting it dry for a day and testing it with water. It does work.

I have ordered the product based on the Photo & detailed volume of the product indicate 325ML, after receiving it was a 65ML the dealer missed place the photo & detailed product on the base that header of the product indicate 65ML.

This is a great product. I live in AB, Canada. We can get some mighty good downpours of rain. I use this product to waterproof art to hang outside on the fence. I’ve had pieces outside, during our summer months, for years without any problem. My last bottle leaked in transit (in 38 degree Celsius) weather but Amazon corrected the problem for me without any hassle. It is expensive, the only downside I experience.

Applied on my Regatta softshell jacket, repell's water perfectly.
