Looks nicer in person. Holds/fits my DDJ-SX like a glove. Picture is a little misleading, so far I've not been able to reasonably stack lid below bottom of case securely as seen in the advertisement, (I think this is contributing to the sliding lid confusion on previous comments and reviews). But for my purposes and paying $160, quite frankly I underpaid. This is a sturdy professional case that is going to add years to my investment in my mixer. I was expecting less, so if you already have a laptop stand (I have a crane) there is no reason not to get this for your DDJ-SX. Besides, those sliding shelves seem tacky and gimmicky. This is also going to save me time on tear down and setup............................. Second look this unit may stack if you remove the "rubber legs" which are plastic. Looks like a phillips screwdriver will remove those. And there is a removable port cap that lets your hide your wires a little easier.

Perfect n' heavy
It fits perfect ddj Sx2, with no slide. Strong and hard as expected, good quality.Heavy to carry, it would be use full some wheels. (This depends on the use you will give to it). Fine for planes

Odyssey FZPIDDJSX Flight Zone Pioneer Ddj-Sx/S1/T1 Dj Controller Case Review
At the time of this review I have only had the case for 2 months so it still has the test of time but I gave this flight case 5 stars as it did everything I needed it to do. DDJ-SX fits perfectly into the case, easy to lock and unlock the butterfly latches, easy to stack, light to carry (compared to 2 turntables and a mixer in cases), easy to check in for carriage on an aircraft and when I picked it up in the baggage area...a few small scratches (to be expected) but everything was good! The 4 rubber legs on the underside of the case is a nice touch as baggage handlers know which side is the bottom and which is the top. The only thing that could make this product better is if it is waterproof and fireproof but otherwise I couldn't imagine getting such a controller and not getting this flight case to go along with it!

Solid Case
I think one user might have reviewed the wrong case. This case does NOT come with the sliding top (which is what I expected). This build quality is very similar to how Road Ready was. A solid case all around and my DDJ-SX does not shift or move when loaded and locked in.My only gripe is that the rubber feet made to sit on the table are located at the top, so when you pick it up normally via the flip handle you have to spin and reverse it around to get the unit upright. Seems like a backwards way of doing it but not a serious problem. Just a gripe as I stated.Great protection and looks, otherwise!

Perfectly built and it looks awesome!
I'm not sure there's another product out there that houses the DDJ-SX so perfectly, securely and in style. I've read in other comments that there's not enough room for XLR and other cables but I disagree. There's plenty of room! I'm totally satified.

bad description
the add is very confusing and I thougth it was the complete Dj sistem. When i got the Dj brief case i got really disapointed because i thought i had bought the entire Dj sistem. You should be more espesific with the description of the things you sell.

there are some problems with this case
well first of all it's an attractive case. but looks aren't everything. it comes with the spacers that tend to serve very little purpose. Cases that I have bought in the past have flexible rubber spacers. These are hard ruber, not flexible. The sliding top is a nice feature BUT you will need extra room to accomodate this, the further you slide it back, the more room u will need, so in tight areas it sucks. Another problem is that you have to make sure that your unit is VERY TIGHTLY SECURED. Because if not, while transporting it will come out of place and when u open the case it will all over the place and that can damage your unit. I have had to used layers of flexible rubber spacers that didn't come witht the unit to secure my DDJSX. The design of the port holes to pass ur cable through should have been given more thought. They are only on the sliding platform which still leaves cables exposed. all in all this case is. ...ehh, so-so. If I had to do it again id chose something that I could actually see, and not have purchased it online.

Could be better
Odyssey did a decent job with this design, but it could be better. There's a lot of wasted space on the lid. They could have made the base thicker in order to provide some more space for cables and headphones - like headphones that the cups lay flat. Also, they could have designed it so that when you place the base on top of the lid - you know, for those venues with really low booths/tabletops - that it actually kind of locks in place, like have indents on the lid where the rubber feet of the base would rest to prevent it from sliding off if someone bumped it. Overall, it at least does the job of protecting my DDJ-SX.
