Exhaust tip - to Fit 1.75 to 2.25 Inch Exhaust Tail Pipe Diameter- Stainless Steel to give Chrome Effect - Car Muffler Tips

I gave this product a shot for my Outlander Sport and glad I did. First off the inner casing is rather silly so I punched it out. The tip is not quite stainless steel, more like a lightly brushed aluminum. Not quite as shiny as the picture depicts. But what makes this a great choice is how cheap it is and how amazing it makes my exhaust look. In order to accomplish this, I had to punch out the silly inner housing and had to paint the outer brackets black to conceal them. They stick out like sore thumbs when looking at the exhaust directly from the back. But the black paint worked like magic essentially making them disappear. The brackets gripped on the exhaust very well and it was a simple install except for trying to tighten the bolts in tight space. But that's Mitsubishi for you. I wish there was a 4.5 rating for the slight modifications I had to do on my own but hey, can't beat the price. Great product!!!

This was a bad idea on my part, but I stuck this thing on my motorcycle's exhaust, under my seat and above my rear tire. After about 2 hours total of riding, the set screws vibrated loose while I was going about 55mph. It landed on and pulled under my rear wheel causing a heart stopping situation involving a loud bang and my rear wheel hopping off the ground a good bit. I avoided a crash, but this situation could have been very, very bad. If you're going to use this, weld it on. Or at the very least loctite the set screws, but I wouldn't recommend this product. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Looks really great and it fits nice. My tailpipes are 2-1/4" and these chrome extensions slid right up onto them. The stainless plating should help them last a while too, unlike the standard "chrome-only" ones I used to have. I'll update this in about 6 months and report on how they're holding up! So far, very pleased.Product Update : have had these for well over 2 years now and they still look great! A couple of drops of chrome polish three times a year keeps them looking like brand new!

They look very well made but did not install them yet cause I have my car at the car repair facility. I blew to cylinders. But will definitely install when my car is repaired. I highly recommend these muffler tips, the are very well made.

Original review:Decent tips for the money! They went on without any problems and seem to be holding up fairly well.1 year update:The retention clips and bolts have completely rusted. One tip had slid rearward (almost completely off of the exhaust pipe) and I was unable to re-secure the tip due to the rusted-out bolts snapping off. The tips also got gunked up with carbon on the inner flanges.So in conclusion, don't expect these tips to last very long if you live in the Rust Belt.

Overall, it is a good product. Not great, but good. Perfectly fit my 2018 Ford Focus. The quality issue is that there are two interior spot-welds that distinctly transfer to the pipe's exterior. Then the exterior defects were chromed over, thus transferring the blemishes in the final chrome finish. This will likely cause the chrome to flake off in those two areas in a relatively short time.

Seems well made and was easy to install on my 2004 PT Cruiser. My only issue so far is the mounting hardware is really noticeable and takes away from the Product. I might try painting the hardware black to hide them alittle.[Update] I went ahead and painted the mounting hardware black and it's made them a lot harder to see making this product look even better!

Missing hardware. Got 2 bolts but 3 of everything else. Makes it impossible to install. Hardware stores have what I need, but defeats the concept. The tip was also dented. Get what you pay for.
