Phenomenal!
This book is my GO TO baby shower gift. It is so easy to grow bored of the typical baby books. We read them over and over and over don't we? They may as well be educational, entertaining, interesting and informative, eh?! :) LOVE this book.

Great teaching guide!
My 6 year old grandson really enjoyed this book. When we finished, he ask for me to read it again! He is a smart little fellow and retains most of what he hears! This intrigued him! It being thick pages did not bother him at all.

Pre-k
I love the content in these books, great graphics and simple facts for the Pre-k level.I wish these were larger books and not in board book format.4/5 year olds see the board book and think it’s a “baby” book. In fact, it really is a great book for this age and holds their attention but very d small for reading to a group.

so cute and great for all ages
After reading, reviewing, and loving Heidi Poelman’s Little Heroes: Courageous People Who Changed the World , I happily sought the opportunity to review her new book, Little Heroes: Inventors Who Changed the World. This cute book is set up the same way as the other, and is just as lovable, from the adorable artwork (thanks to Kyle Kershner), to the bright colors, to the quotes from the heroes, and the descriptions of the wonderful things they did for the world. It’s such a cute idea to present the heroes in a way children would understand.I smiled when I saw the Wright Brothers in there. I live in NC, and also have sweet memories of visiting Kitty Hawk often as a child.I read the book to my three sons, and here was their feedback:From the 5-year-old: He liked Thomas Edison and the Wright Brothers the best because they look cool. From the 7-year-old: He thought the book was good if you want to learn about inventing. It helps kids realize what people have done back then. He also liked Thomas Edison and the Wright Brothers the best. He liked how they kept trying until they got their inventions to work. From the 13-year-old: He thought this book was a cool way for kids to learn about inventors who changed the world. He liked learning about Cai Lun, the man who created paper, especially. His only constructive feedback was that a pronunciation guide would have been helpful for the harder names. The book was a winner for all of us. Kids of all ages can appreciate something about the book, and even as an adult, I learned something too!Get this book. You will love it!

A book that will inspire!
Little Heroes: Inventors Who Changed the World by Heidi Poelman is a book that families and schools should definitely add to their collections. This is the inspiring book about a wide assortment of inventors and how they made their mark on the world. Some of the people featured were men and others were women. They lived in different places and times throughout history. I learned a lot while reading about some of the most important contributions each person made to society. I knew about some of the inventors, like Marie Curie, and the Wright Brother. But others like, Cai Lun were new to me. I had no idea he invented the first piece of paper! Lots of interesting tidbits about inventors including: Leonardo da Vinci, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Grace Hopper, Mary Sherman Morgan, and Cai Lun.The book is written in a way that's easy for young children to understand, but the facts and information can be enjoyed by people of all ages. I really love the pictures. They're so bright and bold- they pull the reader in. I especially liked how the artist, Kyle Kershner, drew the faces.Reading this story made me happy that these wise men and women were able to ask questions and they didn’t give up on their passions. Little Heroes: Inventors Who Changed the World is a wonderful book for people who like to learn about history in an interesting way. It's a book that will inspire. I bet you will learn something new too!
