Nice design and the quality is really nice. I have purchased other products from Maxwell Scott because of the leather quality.

This is an awesome case, very well made. Because it has no divider, you might want to use it with a single large pen, or use something to prevent two pens from rubbing together. The case was very well packed and shipped extremely quickly, and is one of the best I have seen at this price point. The leather and workmanship are impeccable.

A well made compact case for 2 pens.

This is a very nice looking pen case (it even smells of rich leather). In the pictures it is shown with three writing instruments inside of it, but I have found that I can really only fit two fountain pens (a Lamy Safari and a Parker Sonnet). I suspect that if I used smaller instruments, I could fit three, but it is something to consider if you are purchasing this case for nicer or thicker pens.

I write with a fountain pen and it is carried round in a leather pen case I purchased it in Germany oh around 20 years ago and it has given sterling service. However like myself it is showing its age and while I was somewhat reluctant to replace it, its something I had to do. So I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find a worthy replacement and after searching pen shops across the land (Well actually London/Belfast) I came across this one on Amazon. To be honest, it was in a price bracket which I didn't wish to enter into. However it was exactly what I was after. So with trepidation I clicked add to basket and waited.It arrived within days and I have to admit the service from Maxwell Scott is above and beyond that from normal retailers. First of all the jiffy bag. Instead of the usual buff padded envelopes it arrived in a bright very attractive gold jiffy bag (Which I reused in which to post a gift) inside, the case arrived wrapped in tissue paper,(Which if you are buying something as a present would allow you to get away with wrapping it up) unwrapping the paper unveiled my pen case. It oozes quality, quite thick leather, very well stitched around the edges, embossed with the Maxwell Scott logo on the front and on the inside of the flap.Unlike my previous case , which can comfortably take 3 pens, this one while able to take 3 (At a push) is better off off with just 2 inside.All in very impressed with my purchase and I can see myself purchasing a few others as gifts. Yes they are expensive, but with this pen case you get what you pay for.Best of all it is made in Italy, which keeps European jobs alive.

I did spend quite some time debating whether to spend so much on a case for my fountain pens. After reading some of the other reviews I decided to spend the money. It is just a leather pen case, but it is a very good quality one. It is quite stiff, but I am sure that it will soften with age and usage. I have some very nice fountain pens and this case does them justice. I use my pens daily, carrying them in my handbag or briefcase and feel that the case is sturdy and well made and will protect the pens.It was well packaged, nicely wrapped so would be lovely as a gift, and arrived promptly.Happy with my purchase.

What you see on the picture is even more beautiful in reality. I just love the the detailed work it went into making this stunning pen holder. I actually fitted four Caran D'Ache pens in it. I would definitely recommend to buy as it will last a lifetime if looked after :-)

A tad of an extravagance, as one might expect, for a simple pen(cil case) but utterly beautiful. Superb leather; although it has a slightly unusual smell to my nose, not what I would have expected from Italian Leather. Perhaps as a result of the "vegetable-tanned" portion of the leather; not an offensive smell, merely not the smell that I have associated in the past with high quality leather.Cons:Be aware of the size of this item - whilst it comfortably holds 3 Parker standard size fountain pens it is not large enough to store a full size pencil (not that most would want to - given it is a "pen holder"!) - but the only area I could fault it.
