Easy to install
Easy to install. Just plug it and you got the code of the WiFi in the box. Use it on Xfinity. Great speed. Love it because it's small and powerful, not like the huge boxes they have for renting.

A reliable low-cost modem/router
I bought this modem/router to replace my spendy and out-of-date leased version from Comcast. It works perfectly, even in an apartment building with many strong signals on adjacent channels by competing Wi-Fi neighbors. The interface with the Arris software is very useful if you need to tweak the performance in a dense Wi-Fi environment, like assigning a specific channel over interfering others. This unit was brand new, although it was made a few years ago, but I have had no problems and recommend it to others seeking a low-price replacement modem-router.

works great for time warner/spectrum users, recommend
I've been with Time Warner Cable (now Spectrum) for over a year now, and during my first year I was leasing an Ubee modem/router from the company any paying the $10/mo lease. After my first year my bill jumped up, and obviously I should have just bought my own modem/router from the beginning, but what can I say? I was young and naive back then. After spending weeks trying to figure out the best plan of action (do I buy a modem and a router? should I get one that has wifi built in?) I decided to go with this one. I live in a small apartment and it's just me and my boyfriend who use the wifi on our phones to stream to the google chast on our tv, and after installing it yesterday (very simply and easy) it's been running amazing! I was a bit concerned at first because this is a very small modem, and it gets warm fast, but nothing a little fan can't fix if it ever gets to that point (I mean, do these things overheat like a laptop? probably not). Anyway, I'm returning my stupid leased modem back to time warner today and couldn't be more excited! I recommend.

Great product. Gets the job done.
This modem/ router is great! Simple setup. I didn't realize from the description that there were only 2 Ethernet ports. But that's my own fault for not looking out for that. Its cute and small. MUCH better looking than the one provided by Time Warner Cable.I do have one complaint. The sides are basically see through (like perforated?), so when its on (which is basically all the time) you can see the lights not only from the front but from the sides as well. Its fine during the day. But at night, its pretty much a beacon of blue light. I have a rather large living room window, and it feels like its calling people. Like, "Hey these folks in that house have a router you can potentially steal wifi from!"

Very convenient and money saving.
I love the fact that I save $10 a month on my optimum bill. Definitely a great choice if you have the extras funds to get your own modem. Works just like the one provided by optimum but only handles up to 343 mb so if you internet speed is 300 mb or below, it’s a great buy.

Good modem/wifi combo for a great price.
For Xfinity, this hooked up and was connected right out of the box. It took me longer to deal with customer support and arrange for the return of my rented gateway than it did to get online with the new one. The unit itself has been working well since purchase, giving me the speeds I pay for consistently. The wifi hasn't had any issues with needing to be rebooted since I installed it in October either. One power cycle so far. And the signal is strong enough to reach everywhere inside of my two bedroom apartment.

Quality Device for small apartments or a college dorm
This is a great product for a small apartment. Also, you are not going to want to be running a lot of different devices at once. My TV in my family room ran fantastic off of this router, but the further away I got (off in the bedrooms), the weaker the signal got. Also, the more devices I added the more problems I had. Upgraded to the ARRIS SURFboard SBG6900AC DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem.Wi-Fi AC1900 Router, and I can use multiple devices at the same time without a problem. I still think this is a quality device, just make sure you know what you are getting.

I think it's OK
Installed it yesterday. So far no problem. I was working from home yesterday, no any single problem. My desktop has wi-fi, so intentionally I did not connect it with a cable to test. My one bedroom apartment is about 700 sq feet. Last night, I was watching a movie on my tablet from a couch in my living room, while my wife from the bedroom. No complaints for $35 and I'm very picky. I will keep you posted.
