This is the least aggressive DE safety razor I have ever owned, to the point that I don't use it on my face as it just does not work with the very coarse stubble I get, unless I use lots of passes with the razor. However it does work brilliantly for intimate/personal shaving due to the non-agressive profile - it does not pull or grab on short hair/stubble and glides over skin very easily, so if you are looking for a DE safety razor for use in more sensitive areas I'd certainly recommend this. Long handle also makes task easier.

I wanted to try using a double-edged razor and chose this one based on reviews and recommendations that I'd seen elsewhere. I've paired this with some Feather razor blades and a nice, soft badger brush. I don't think I'll need anything else. The razor has a satisfying weight to it, and the long handle makes it easy to hold and glide across your face. The closed comb means I'm not constantly raking the shaving cream into lines across my face like a zen garden. I chose the black version just because at the time of purchase it was the cheaper option. You will see shaving cream residue instantly stick to the black finish, my razor has gone from a piano black to a sort of dark charcoal grey, but that's a minor inconvenience I suppose, and shows that I'm actually using it instead of keeping it as some kind of display piece. Recommended if you're thinking about ditching the 4/5 blade plasticky joints and want to try something a bit more "traditional" without sinking too much cost into it.
