3 Gallon Vacuum Chamber Stainless Steel stabilizes Degassing Urethanes, Silicones and Epoxies, High Vacuum Compatible with New Position Vacuum Pump

I have used this several times and I am very pleased with its quality I highly recommend this vacuum chamber for degassing and any work that requires a vacuum. The clear lid is very nice for visual monitoring of any processes.

This performs as advertised. I am using it to stabilize punky wood before resin casting. With this chamber, I am able to reinforce soft wood and make it far easier to work with. The resin binds more smoothly and completely and it is a pleasure to turn on the lathe. I bought a pump separately and think I saved some money over purchasing a kit that includes both.

Purchased pump separate - Pump was not included.This is a perfect setup for vacuum testing systems.The quality of the container, lid, fittings and gauge were more than adequate for testing.*Note - I would not recommend testing systems that pull fluid into the vacuum chamber, this could potentially contaminate the pumps oil and vice versa. The resolution would be to have a lid with an additional hole with a hand valve to isolate fluids from entering the pump or the system being tested.

Overall, this is a great starting vac chamber for its price. It assembles pretty quickly, but after a few uses I had to do some quality of life improvements to get it to reliably seal. If you're having trouble with this like I was, you can apply some silicone caulking around the O-rings at the base of the pressure gauge and mark a spot with a marker on the gasket and chamber to ensure that it will reliably seal each time. Once I did that, it works like a charm just about every time. Don't be afraid to adjust the metal rings on the tube that connects the chamber to the pump--those can help with preventing leaking, too.

Bought for vacuuming epoxy resin. Within a month or so of sporadic use it had warped and wouldnt seal properly. I had to put all my weight on it to try and get it to seal enough to starting pulling a vacuum. When it did vacuum the bottom deforms which has knocked over smaller resin cups. Seller is non responsive and Amazon says nothing they can do to help either. Save your money and find something better.

I previously bought my first vacuum chamber, but realized pretty quickly that it was too small. Decided to get this one for it's size and price. It works well and does the job. The only downside is that sometimes I have to push the lid down when it starts to vacuum to get full suction. Once it starts I can let get after a few seconds.Oh the sticker on the side is a bit strange too, but easily removable.Would purchase again.

This unit came without assembly or operating instructions. Didn't pull a vacuum until I applied 4 spring clamps to the perimeter of the lid.
