Purchased Silver finish Pros -Sleek looking -Feels solid -Features are easy to use -Easy to read dial -Somewhat pricy Cons -Compass is not accurate. Shaking it can sometimes align it with accuracy but even comparing to another compass, it's clearly inaccurate and therefore unreliable. I'd rather not have the feature if it's not properly calibrated or functional. -Light only stays on for 2 or 3 seconds.

Multi use tool. Easy to access time but does not get in the way. For me, wrist watches are too big and bulky plus get in the way when working, plus end up getting dunked in the water.

Written 11-6-23. I can't stand to have a watch on my wrist. And I'm not too hot at telling time w old fashioned faces. For years I have bought digital wrist watches that I carried in my pocket. In July '23 I saw this Dakota and thought I'd give it a try. It works. Its heavier than I expected. I found I did not like it clipped to a belt loop - banged into every thing and caught on stuff and I really couldn't read it without unclipping. The buttons protrude quite a bit and settings sometimes get changed by accident in my pocket. And as I said its bulky for my pocket. The compas is a cute decoration but I wouldn't trust it. The carabiner clip is sturdy and so is the case. For me the setting sequences are not intuitive and I've lost the directions. I was pretty disappointed that the Dakota website does not have setting directions readily available. Also I thought I would be able to change the face from all dark w light digits - either I haven't figured it out or its not possible (in which case I'm even less enthusiastic for it overall. As the face is now I really don't like it - hard to read. I do think it reset itself and went off daylight savings and that is a welcome surprise. Or did I accidentally reset in my pocket - who knows?? I sent an email to the website and hope they will send me setting directions.

Wanted one for a long time. Well designed, and functional.

I love pocket watches. Unfortunately it can be hard to find the traditional style of pocket watch that is made with excellence. They are certainly out there; but I have known about Dakota style watches for years. I had one years ago and gave it to a good friend. Often my G Shock tactical watches are too large; and the Invicta watches are also very large. My wrists are also large. (That’s a lot of large). This particular Dakota watch is Digital. Which is the first time I have seen one like this. The built in large carabiner clip that’s incorporated into the design is great for securing vs. a chain; and the quality is immediately noticeable. I really recommend this choice for those who are looking for an option for either wearing or carrying a time piece. I also got a traditional face Dakota that is extremely well made and the right size. Smaller than I thought before buying. But with the added carabiner... it’s able to clip on my case and belt + more.

I keep this attached to my belt loop since I can't have anything around my wrist while operating most of my equipment. I was worried that the buttons bulging from the sides would depress for anything, but to my surprise every time I check the time, no matter what position I find myself in, it's always displaying the time. I don't frequently use the alarm or stopwatch features, but I have used them and it functions as designed. Compass works well enough if you actually need it. Only feedback I would offer it to make the carabiner clip just slightly bigger and offer more color options like Army Green or Coyote Brown.

Die Lieferzeit war natürlich länger, aber das Produkt kommt ja aus den USA! Eine sehr schöne multifunktionale digitale Taschenuhr in einem klassischen Design. Genau die richtige Größe: nicht zu groß und passt gut in die Westentasche; nicht zu klein - die Zeit ist problemlos ablesbar. Ein echter Hingucker (eyecatcher).

Perfect watch for me. Always keep the dial face in production. Suggestion is temper the dial glass face. It breaks very easy .
