Does this lining keep silver jewelry tarnish free?

I have not noticed tarnish with my pure silver jewelry but then it could be quality of the jewelry rather than the box. So I guess my answer is "I don't know." I purchased the box in black and it makes all my jewelry look good. But then, if I see any piece looking scruffy, I use an expensive jewelry cleaner on them before I go out. My daughter purchased me an expensive electric jewelry cleaner but I am afraid to use it on my real gold, real silver, pearls or other pricey jewelry. Hope this helps.
