Over a year and still doesn't shed
I use this brush often and am happy to say it hasn't shed at all, some of these kinds of brushes are worse than dogs LOL, anyway, I am happy with this one.

Nice basting brush.
This basting brush is nice. Need to pull out the loose fibers before using though.

Winco Flat Pastry and Basting Brush - A Win, Win, Winner!
A fabulous brush! Don't bother with those heat proof nylon or other material brushes that melt on contact with something fiery hot! Go with a tried and true natural bristle brush and you won't go wrong. This one is a bit wide but it will do very nicely for racks of ribs, chicken, burgers or whatever you're grilling inside or out!

Terrible! Ruined a tray of Christmas baklava!
Bought this brush for a replacement of an older pastry brush that had worn out. Not the most expensive brush but not the cheapest either. Washed it before use in a glass of warm water with a mild dish detergent. Rinsed thoroughly and gently tugged the bristles to remove any loose ones. This brush deposited dozens of bristles into a tray of baklava that was very expensive to make on it's first use. Went into the trash. Absolute garbage, would give it zero stars if I could. Don't waste your money.

WInco Flat Pastry and Bastin Brush
Exactly what I needed. Too bad they didn't bundle it with other sizes. It has a wooden handle, so I hand-wash it, but it's much better than the other wood-handled, "metal-cheap" brushes I've bought at the grocery store. I bought a "silicone-bristled" brush from Amazon about a year ago, and it's still sitting in the drawer. Silicon brushes just don't cut it when basting good food.

2" Pastry Brush
I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I have not experienced the bristle fallout that some other reviewers have, but I admit I don't use them (I purchased the 1" brush also) everyday. I always hand wash gently and shape the bristles before hanging from a hook to dry.

Not made in USA
It is NOT made in USA, it is made in China ("PRC"). It was somewhat misleading when it is not specified in the product description, but the Manufacturer is stated as "Winco USA." It is much more cheaply made than I was expecting.
