Works great for NP-BG1
Have only used it once so far, but it worked great. Interestingly, the charge indicator light didn't simply go from red to green when the battery was fully charged. It went gradually from red to amber to yellow and then to green - and all the colors in between. Pretty neat! It also charged slowly, which is desirable for lithium ion batteries, as allowing them to get hot can shorten the life of the battery. And, yes, unlike the OEM Sony charger, you do need to place battery upside down in the charger, but this should not be confusing for anyone who understands that the metal contacts on the charger need to align with those on the battery. Not rocket science! Hopefully, this charger will last, but only time will tell.

The battery does go in backwards, but it charges in a good amount of time and works well. It’s a good price, no complaints.

This charger arrived at my house undamaged and quick, despite the bad packing job. It worked for the battery I needed it for and charged it to full quickly. It does feel very flimsy and cheap, although thats what you get for the price I suppose.

battery needs to be upside down BUT---
when you load the battery, unlike the original one I bought from this seller(that loaded with the arrow on top as should be)-this one you need to flip the battery upside down for the poles to connect. This issue is because it does not show you which positive or negative post. it would seem to me that by flipping the battery it will connect backward to the polls! just like hooking jumper cables to your car, you can do real battery damage or even explode it if connected to the wrong connections. none of the pictures show the + or - on the charger, nor is it marked on it. my 1st charger was correct with the posts on the left and the arrow was on top when charging. when I ordered this 2nd one I pressed the buy it again i expected to be sent the same thing-nope!
