Gracie's Ears Hardcover – November 24, 2011

I saw this book recommendation from a hard of hearing/deaf facebook group I am in. It was perfect for my 6 year old who wears hearing aids. He thinks he's the only kid who has to wear them and this opened his eyes to know there are other kids who do. I enjoyed how Gracie even wanted to wear them! I hope my son will ask to wear his voluntarily one day too!

Great book, so sweet for child finding it difficult to wear hearing aids. Been good for child with down syndrome.

Love, love, love this book. It is a perfect introduction for a little one who is about to get hearing aids as well as littles who are already aided and just need to see themselves in a story. The illustrations are cheerful, the cadence is friendly and the plot is simple but accurate. Our favorite pages are the ones about getting molds!

Great book and my little one loved sharing it with her classmates. It made the transition of going to a new school easier and she’s more confident wearing her hearing aids. She was able to relate to Gracie and answer her friends’ questions.

This book is perfect and has made my 2.5 year old very excited to receive her hearing aid. It explains the process we have been through in very simple terms that make it perfect for younger children to understand. This is the first book my kids request for us to read daily.

Perfect addition to a toddler’s bookshelf! Whether your child has hearing issues or not, someone around them might. Teaching kids early on about differences they may come across amongst peers, is always a step in the right direction. Love this book!

My grandson just got hearing aids for a minor hearing impairment. Because he will be wearing them to school, his Mom and I both purchased a few books. This books was great. He related to the exam stacking the block when you hear a sound and making the molds for his ears and is looking forward to sharing the book with the classroom. I highly recommend it!

We recently found out our toddler has profound hearing loss. We ordered this book to help my nieces understand why will be wearing her hearing aids. They love this book! They read it over and over again each time they visit. And they love reading it to our little one.
