Really fun for adult children!
I'm 47 and I've wanted a scooter since my kids got theirs back in the early 2000s. I bought this as a gift for someone else, but even though it was listed as prime, it took over a week to come, so i had to go out and buy a different scooter for her. Since I also just celebrated a birthday, I kept this for myself when it finally arrived. I'm glad I did because my stunted childhood dreams came true! It's been cold and rainy here but I've been riding this baby around my house and it's every bit as fun as I hoped it would be. I cannot wait to get outside with it! It's very sturdy and the second height level is perfect for my 5'3 frame. Folding it seems tricky at first, but I found a great YouTube video titled Lascoota Teen Scooter that shows how to pull up while pushing up on the red folding button. Now it's super easy to fold and unfold. Some weird black plastic piece fell out from where it folds and I've emailed the company about it, but so far it doesn't seem to affect the scooter usage. Replacement parts are readily available, and look pretty inexpensive, from the Lascoota website. Testing the brake inside at low speed, it seems really responsive. The little kickstand is awesome because at my age I'm just so above dumping my $70 scooter on its side in the grass. I'm not planning on doing any rad tricks, and I'm not into getting tiny wheels stuck in cracks, so the larger wheels on this are fabulous because they give such a smooth ride. I'm mostly looking forward to embarrassing my youngest son as I ride around the neighborhood on my super cool pink scooter. I ordered a white helmet to go with this and I'm totally gonna sticker the heck out of it to complete the bad mom effect.

Solid scooter
I am a mom, and I just introduced scooters to my kids. They can now handle them good enough that I would like to join them when I take them out. I've never used a scooter before so I did a lot of research. I want a foldable one that I can use and that one day my kids will use too. I narrowed down to the A6, A5, and this one. I decided on this one when I found a promo. It came in a big box that I thought I was going to regret the purchase due to size. It is long, but I didn't mind it that much after seeing how easy it was to get it ready to use. It required no assembly. I just clicked on a few things and it unfolded, handle bars up and I was ready to step on it. It is bit heavy but it is solid. I like the spacious platform and carry strap. The ride was smooth and being a first time rider, I had no trouble directing it and braking on it. I found a good height for me. I now can speed with my kids and join in on the fun. It looks like it will last. I will update this review once I get used to riding it.

Great Scooters!
I bought two of these scooters for my 6 and 8 year old daughters in different colors. It seems that the different colors may also be slightly different models- which I didn't realize sooner. Its not a deal breaker as these beautiful, sturdy and easy to maneuver scooters were the perfect introduction to two wheeled scooters. I know that the girls will continue to enjoy them for years to come because they just look sooo cool. Also, I can ride the scooter when one of them gets tired... and its actually an enjoyable experience. So, for the one unexpected issue (very small issue I would not have noticed had I not also received a more updated model)... The light blue one has a locking mechanism which you can toggle to engage/ disengage the button used to collapse the scooter. The button was easier to push and my 6 year old can fold and unfold on her own. Unfortunately, the plum colored one only has a VERY hard to push red button that needs to be slid up in order to collapse the scooter. My 8 year old is often disappointed that she cannot close the thing on her own and to be honest, it's quite difficult for me to fold down as well (the button is very hard to compress). I really don't think we would have even noticed had we not had a direct comparison to an easier to collapse model. All around FANTASTIC product though and I would not hesitate to buy again. Its fun that other adults stop me to ask me where I got this cool looking scooter (it has kind of a retro vespa like vibe- very cool).

It's pretty great!
Here are my semi-coerced (but honest) thoughts: 1) It's big and somewhat heavy. This isn't really a downside, per se, but my young one truly does have trouble carrying it (even with the very welcome shoulder strap). 2) Big + Hefty = Sturdy Listen, as the above complaint is true, the byproduct is that the thing feels like a tank. I'm much, much larger than the young one, and I can comfortably rip around on this thing and very much not feel like I'm zooming around on a toy -- it's a sturdy scooter. I've had other adults zip around, jump off curbs, etc. too, and it's *completely* fine. As in, no worries at all ― not even the hint of a worry. When the kids got penny boards for skating, I was certain I would break it by looking at it ― not so with this hefty thing. 3) It's hard/tricky to fold. This is a negative to be sure (my young ones can't fold it), but I also don't want it to fold when 6'+ adults are jumping off curbs either, okay? So maybe it's a draw? They key to folding it up is to lift the hefty thing up by the handlebars and then pull up the tab to release and hold it while you fold it. You can do it! Go for it. (And remember, feel free to really pull it hard ― you can't break it as far as I can tell). 4) I don't own other scooters. I'm comparing this to nothing. I guess I'm comparing it to kids bikes and penny boards and my expectations... but "It's pretty great" really does sum it up for me. Maybe there's something better out there, normally is, but this is pretty great. A kid can grow into it and still ride it in 30 years, and based on how it's held up so far, I actually expect it to be usable as long as you can replace the wheels (haven't checked, but it seems probable). Verdict: do it.

Bluedart, the courier assigned by Amazon took 10 days to claim the item from customs. It was cleared by customs on 25th June and Bluedart picked it up on 6th June for delivery. How irresponsible. The item is ok, as described by the seller
