Why is it the photo for the listing is completely different than the actual item? Like the quality of the fur looks completely different.

I ordered this same item, and what I received looks exactly like the photo. The fur is nice and bushy, seems like decent quality as far as slippers go, its not mink. The claws are soft vinyl material and stick out just like the picture. I bought extra-large and it fits nicely. Hope this helps.

I would still say a medium size because my daughter was a little bit older. If you want them to fit her now and for at least a little bit longer, I think that would be the best fit. Hope this helps!
