Great book. Someone mentioned that the print quality was bad. However, I've ordered three of these and all three have been of good print quality. The print is clear and easy to read. The book is really fun for the students that I have been working with. Most passages are in 2/4 and 6/8 as someone had already said. As an adult, I had fun working through this book with my students. I have given away two of these books as prizes at the end of the year along with other drum related items. They are always the first prize to go.

The booklet arrived quickly and is a good source of traditional types of street beats.

Yes, I can find this plus more on the internet for free! But it’s nice to have it next to my drums so I can grab it. And I like printed material. I’m old and old fashioned.

Every drummer should own Stick Control by Stone. This book, by the same author begins with the twenty six basic rudiments and the rest of the book contains various marching drum beats. They are useful as practice exercises and for solos or performance, but the book is not for beginners. The main problem is in the printing of this edition; the music is difficult enough to read by itself; add to that the poor, blurry printing and it becomes an Herculean task.A great book...BUY an older edition if you want to be able to read it!!!

Great book for band, drum corps and beginning drummers. We had this book when I was in drum corps back in the late 50's and early 60's.Today I still use this book to tutor drum & band students.

Another book written Book From A Master! Fun to have the collection of the Rudiments! Very challenging playing the drum parts in the book for a rudimental drummer!

This booklet has nearly 50 pages of Marching taps. However, it does not contain Drum Calls.Most beats are 2/4 or 6/8.

I am a fan of rudimental drumming and this book puts them into a musical setting. It was fun to work through each 'tune'.

A very difficult book without having a teacher..A CD accompliment would be much better...very advanced, and should be the main music to concentrate on...too many other things would tire your brain..

Il formato è davvero piccolo, a volte si fa un po' fatica con la lettura.Come recita la prefazione, non è un libro per principianti, né un metodo di apprendimento dello strumento.È un riferimento per chi vuole studiare o approfondire le linee di batteria delle marce militari tradizionali, così come suonate dai drum corps di un tempo.Le prime pagine sono dedicate ai 26 rudimenti, per poi proseguire con le marce vere e proprie. Ovviamente queste sono infarcite di rudimenti e quindi rappresenta un'ottima pratica dei beat rudimentali.Impegnativo e sfidante, ma ottimo terreno di applicazione dei rudimenti.

ottimo acquisto, la nuova ristampa è chiara e leggibile, consigliata per batteristi alle prime armi e non solo, anche da tenere in biblioteca per eventuali amici...
