Excellent for new Vegans
My wife and I have been eating Vegan for about 2 months. We were looking for a cookbook that had a variety of choices while using ingredients we might already have at home. We've also been "eating our way around the world" so we were looking for a cookbook with varierty. We mark the recipes we want to try with Sticky notes. We should have saved a block of sticky notes because we marked most of the book.I have my eye (well, stomach) set of Potstickers, pg 127, Eggplant Kofta, pg 143, and Garlic Naan, , pg 167. We plan to try the eggplant later today,We both like Asian food and giving up fish sauce was a downer. Hello, Fake Fish Sauce, pg195.If you wonder if Vegan might work for you, my wife has been in Weight Watchers for many years. My wife and daughter at one point in the past lost a combined 180 pounds, but were tempted by the foods they missed and got back on the roller coaster. With Vegan choices, my wife now has the option of the potatoes and bread she craved along with the vegetables she enjoys (down 18 pounds in 2 months and no more starving feeling). Being full means that there are no more fast food drive-thru events. Just say'in. Watch Forks Over Knives, What the Health or Starch Solution.

Great, easy to follow recipes
Has easy to make recipes without the need for lots of exotic additional spices. Well worth the money. Uses spelt flour which, while not so well known in the US, I ordered via Amazon from Canada - good alternative to wheat.

An essential vegan cookbook
I am shocked that this cookbook does not have more reviews! I have an extensive collection of vegan cookbooks, including VBQ by these same authors. This cookbook has a great assortment of recipes, and there truly is something for everyone. Further, flipping through the pages is a real treat - lovely photos and drawings. The recipes are simple enough that a new vegan could cook them successfully, but seasoned vegans will also find plenty of new inspiring dishes. I highly recommend this cookbook!

Beautiful Vegan Cookbook!
This is a beautiful cookbook that represents a lot of effort and work. There is a lovely picture for every recipe, which only adds to this book's appeal. You will be highly motivated to look. learn, and live from the authors gift to your health. I am so glad that I decided to purchase this book! M.E. from PA

Vegan cookbook covering a wide variety of recipes
"Vegan Everything" is a vegan cookbook covering a wide variety of recipes. I liked that she didn't always mimic meat-lover favorites but sometimes created unfamiliar dishes. She did use gluten-containing grains and occasionally even added gluten (seitan), but there were some gluten-free recipes. She did use soy, but there were plenty of recipes without soy, too. Because of this variety, probably everyone can find some new recipes that they can use.The author occasionally used store-bought vegan "dairy" or "meat" in a recipe. Some recipes added oil or sugar or used less healthy options like white bread. But other recipes used whole grain bread or used fruit for sweetening. Most of the ingredients can be found in my grocery store. I also felt like I could easily make substitutions to the recipes to suit my tastes. Each of the 110 recipes had full-color picture of the finished product. The recipes usually served 2-4 people. There were 11 recipes for Breakfast, 8 for Snacks (including chips, salads, crackers), 10 recipes for 20-Minute Meals (for which the prep time was 10-20 minutes, but the cook time added another 20-40 minutes), 11 for One Pan Used Meals, 12 for Family Dinners, 8 for Date-Night Dinners, 9 for Party Hits, 7 for Breads, 25 for Dips, Spreads, etc., and 9 for Sweets. I intend to try out a good number of these recipes.I received an ebook review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

Full of beauty pictures! You want to cook everything!
It has pictures for every recipe! It’s beautiful with easy to follow recipes! I have bought many cooking books without pictures, I have returned all of them but this one stays and I love cooking from it. Highly recommend jambalaya with tempeh!

Beautiful cookbook
I am very impressed with this cookbook. I felt it might be worth taking a chance on because the price was right....$14.35. Unfortunately the 'Look Inside' feature is not available on Amazon.ca (at the time of this review) but if you think you might be interested in this cookbook be sure to go to Amazon.com to take advantage of the 'Look Inside' option there. The publisher/authors have made several recipes available to peruse, which is actually what finally sold me on the book (I wish more cookbook publishers/authors would do the same). I just received the book yesterday so haven't had a chance to cook anything from it yet but cooking has been a hobby of mine for many decades and I can see that there are many (maybe most) recipes that I'm really looking forward to making. I don't remember seeing any ingredients that couldn't be found at your local supermarket or online or recipes that would require arduous amounts of effort. I was very impressed to find only one recipe that used white flour (I think another used 2T). Spelt is the flour that is commonly used in the recipes calling for flour. There are a few recipes that call for more oil than I prefer to use but I'm fine with tweaking those. There is a beautiful photo accompanying every recipe. Hight recommend.
