I took a gamble and put a "no-name" GPU cooler in my high-end rig for science or whatever
I copied this over from my Reddit post since there isn't much about this cooler out there. tl;dr 4.5/5. It absolutely does what it says it does, but the logo glass shipped broken and there's a painted red stripe that you can't change so hope you like red; I do, but could be annoying for others. I want to start this off by saying I am absolutely not an expert in this field by any means, and absolutely none of this information should be used for purchasing purposes. This was tested on one game, on one hardware config, and at one resolution. I am not Gamers YEAH Two Cent Science Studio. I'm just a bored sysadmin that likes to tinker with stuff. So here's my newly upgraded rig: Ryzen 9 3900X ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate EVGA 2080 Ti Black 2x8 GB Ballistix 3600 CL16 850W Gold PSU 1440p\144Hz Monitor NZXT H500i Most settings were set for simplicity and stability, not for maximum performance or cooling. I just wanted to get a good baseline: Precision Boost Overdrive off, SMT off, IF = 1500MHz GPU power limit 100%, voltage max, temp limit 80, +163 core, +612 memory, fan speed auto 2x8 sticks both in single channel (AA) or the system won't boot ASRock BIOS 3.2, AGESA 1.0.0.1 So I noticed my new-to-me 2080 Ti was running pretty dang hot. I'm not sure how up to date you are with the Ryzen 3000 BIOS/AGESA/memory config/boost issues, but it's been a hell of a ride so far. I'm just done right now. I don't want to deal with any more non-job related troubleshooting for a while, so that means open-loop and AIO are out of the question, and I didn't spend all this money on this PC to put some ugly-as-sin fans on my GPU. So began my search, upon which I settled upon the Jonsbo VF-1. The only real thing I could find about it was Steve from Gamers Nexus. Jonsbo is supposedly a pretty well-known company in Asia and he bought one while in Japan. He said he'd do a review on it later, but that review never came, so I took a gamble because I personally liked the look and it looked like it took 0 brainpower to install. It's clearly not a radiator, but they're a Japanese company. We'll say it was a translation error It's not extravagant, but it's not hideous either. Three fans, fake PCIe pieces to hold it in place, and a side mount to the case. Powered through SATA and I personally have the RGB header connected to my motherboard. Install was a breeze. There is another attachment that supplied 7 different colors through 3 physical binary switches, but I'm not even about to try to play that game right now. Now on to the results: The game that I used for this test is Black Desert Online. 1440p, high textures, high graphics, every sub-option turned on. I did two main tests. The rocky area is within a hub, where performance usually tanks. The one by the lake is out in the world away from everything to squeeze out the least resistance. All tests were on the exact same hardware, game, and overclock settings. Keep in mind that these numbers did fluctuate and I will try to denote that below Comparing the two hubs together, I noticed around 15% more GPU being used while the temps and clocks remained the same. The clocks with the cooler were typically at around 1860-1875, while without they were around 1815-1830. Now, here is where you need to take this information with a HUGE grain of salt because this was only tested on 1 game and the numbers are way too large to expect from every title. The average frame rate jumped up about 32 FPS. The frame time dropped 4ms, the 1% low jumped 30, and the .1% low jumped 33. In the world I saw about the same results. An extra 19% of the GPU being used with all the temps and clocks staying about the same. The frametime increase was expectedly smaller since there's not a lot of stuff going on, so we only saw a 1.6 ms boost. The average framerate however jumped 36, while the 1% and .1% jumped 37 and then actually took a 3 frame dive. Notes and conclusion: I believe that I already had grossly insufficient airflow in my H500i from the get-go, so that was another deciding factor when choosing this cooler. This was also performed without any GPU fan tuning whatsoever, so the gains could decrease when using appropriate fan-curves. It's not necessarily a quality product; the screen that says Jonsbo is already falling apart, but it absolutely helps the GPU perform better, so it definitely does what it says it does. They do also advertise -5 degrees but running the temp limit at 80 gave me no chance to test. I can definitely say that I'm not dissatisfied, but your case, computer, or games may have wildly varying results. It has served its purpose and then some in my case so the $40 bucks I spent on it were worth it to me I also saw a 2 degree CPU temp drop. The only logical explanation I can make of that while using and AIO cooler is the three fans send more air along the motherboard, around the CPU.

Eh it’s ok I guess
Seems to help with cooling. Packaging was good. No real instructions provided if you aren’t tech savvy. Fan quality is laughable. I would but something better quality in the future

Only option, great option.
As quiet as my other fans which include a Noctua 120mm. Any noise it produces is drowned out by normal operations. Had adequate airflow. Air pressure you can feel and reaches the top of my case. Last, but certainly not least, is that its slim enough to fit my m-atx build. Its basically the exact thickness of the pci slot holders you pull out of the back, and the fact that its also pretty lightweight/sturdy means it holds up nice and perky (no sag near the back). Im satisfied. You can see in my photos: The exact connections im using (sata power/HDD power), but it also has this kinda 4 pin connection that may just be regular 4 pin. Im new. It would be possible to replace fans with ones of your choosing. It's entirely possible to remove the pci plug in stabalizer plate by just unscrewing it, then closing it back up (no cutting necessary). This was literally my only option looking for a slim pci slot fan assembly, and it worked out very well. Plus the lights are a nice addition. P.s. yes there is red tape covering rough edges of the pci stabilizer plate, but since I was removing it I didn't care. Also its "rough edge" wasn't so bad, just white & not painted black (no big deal). Enjoy!

Corners were cut
Several buyers have complained about the red stripe along the edge of this fan assembly, and I myself was curious if it would be possible to change that when I purchased this product. Well, it turns out that, yes, you can change the red stripe, because the red stripe is actually just red duct tape. As soon as I got it out of the package, it was evidently duct tape, even at first glance, although I could hardly believe any manufacturer would try to get away with such a thing. As it turns out, the reason the duct tape is even there is because it covers up the edge of the fiberglass cutout that slots into the pcie slot, which isn't sanded or painted in any way, and looks incredibly cheap. If Jonsbo cared about the product they were sending out, this part of the fan assembly would have been revised or touched up to not need to be hidden with duct tape. Other than that corner cutting, the rest of the assembly is rather sleek when it comes to the aesthetics. The LEDs are pretty decent with only slight hotspots, and the brushed aluminum finish looks very clean. And if you're willing to unscrew a few screws and use a little sand paper and spray paint, you can pretty easily fix the issues Jonsbo ignored, but it frankly offensive that Jonsbo are passing this off as a completed product. As for the performance of the assembly, the estimated performance gain of 5C lower temperatures is actually pretty accurate if your case lacks fan mounts below the GPU as most cases do. For cases that do have an open bottoms like the O11 Dynamic, this will give you no performance gains as the GPU can easily breathe in those cases. The fans aren't exactly quiet on this device, but if you're buying it to help cool an already loud graphics card, then it will probably bring noise levels down on the whole by keeping the card slightly cooler. In summary, only buy this if you are willing to do some slight modding, and you don't mind that Jonsbo thinks you're too stupid to notice them cutting corners.

Works great! It sags tho but an easy fix.. i guess lol

OK, I bought this because my GPU (EVGA Geforce Rtx 3080) was getting up around the mid 80°'s on one of the games that I play. I had read some other reviews, which were mixed and decided for £11 that it was worth a punt. Despite what other reviews say I found it to feel surprisingly premium. It was a 10 minute fitting process (if you know what you're doing) and easy to fit. Buyers should be aware that no instructions are supplied, however there was a QR code but what it links to I've no idea as I didn't need to use it. Anyway, turned on my PC and fired up the game. As stated in the title, I was getting a considerable drop in GPU temperature, even after an hour or so. The fan's aren't close to being silent as they run at 100% constantly, but they are certainly quieter than all my case fan's going full pelt all the time. I've got decent headphones and so the fan's weren't too intrusive. So, from my experience if you are happy to put up with a bit of extra noise, for what you pay for it, it's really hard not to recommend it. Also the RGB lighting is great. It comes with a little connector to choose your own colour. I didn't use it though as I connected it to the rest of my fan's.

The Jonsbo Aluminum VGA Graphic Card Cooler barely made a difference in temperatures. The fans are weak, and it doesn’t improve cooling noticeably. Not effective for serious GPU cooling needs and feels like a wasted purchase.

Worked just as mentionned for the 3 fans. I didnt need to tune anything at all once it was installed in the PCI and plugged into Sata for power you should be fine and if your Case is on the smaller side, you will feel it immediatly on the touch. (Clean dust/remove dust from your PC while you're at it and it will never be warm again) Also works just as fine to cool my CPU. I dont have any CPU Cooler and the way the Mobo is made allows the fan to blow through the GPU to the CPU. I think i might have extended the life of my Rig by months or years with that cleanup+GPU COOLER. Didn't try RGB cause it needs power and power = heat. The less power you consume, the less heat there is. solid 4/5
