Sharp Office Accessory
I work from home and part of my work is presenting design solutions over the web. Sometimes, that work is presenting live whiteboard solutions. Most whiteboards are horrible, flimsy and ugly. They also have a reflectivity that results in glare on camera, which you just don’t expect and wind up having to compensate for with lighting and umbrellas. So, a glass board with the right lighting can surprise you. First, they’re reasonably light. I don’t recommend doing a one-person installation. That’s what I did and wound up with a 2 degree offset on the installation which annoys me and I’ll wind up fixing it. Go two-person, use a carpenter’s level and be happy. On camera, this has a great soft look. Make sure to use markers designed for a glass whiteboard and not a regular whiteboard or you’ll work a bit harder to keep it clean. Microfiber cloths clean this really well. Green markers don’t show up as well on camera. The mount system is actually very good. What you’ll likely find useful is to make a template on paper. What I mean by that is to lay out a grid of copy paper on a table and tape them all together. Lay the board on top and ensure the top is level to the top of the paper and draw the entire top edge so you have the line for the level. Then, using a marker tap into the four holes where the mount posts go. Take this sheet and put it up on the wall you’re going to install it. Ensure (several times, please) the line you drew is completely level at both ends. You’ll need a drill to install this, a power driver will help, too. Drill one hole at a time and verify the position each time with the white board. The kit is very good quality. As long as you successfully drill either two holes that are equally across the top or on the diagonal, you’ll install this correctly.

Works and looks great!
U Brands Glass Dry Erase Board, 24" x 36", White Frosted Surface With Silver Grommets, Frameless, Includes Marker With Eraser ($32.00) This is a nice modern looking glass dry erase board. This replaced one we had up in our dining area. It served as a place for the kids to draw, for school stuffs (like working through math problems), and tallying points for board or card games. The old one, the surface started to wear and would no longer get completely clean so it just always appeared dirty. It was already over 10 years old, so I looked into acquiring an upgrade. This has been a great upgrade! Only thing is I wish the tray was longer, like the full length of the board. We like using different color dry erase markers. The marker it does come with is great and has an eraser built in in its cap. This is NOT magnetic. My old one wasn’t either so this did not bother me. I am unable to comment on how easy or challenging the installation was as I did not install it.

Excellent product with one minor issue
Overall I really like this board an it looks much nicer than a standard white board. The install was pretty easy, but the included wall anchors are crap. I was able to put two of the fasteners into a stud so I only needed two wall anchors. The ones it comes with are terrible so I ended up going to the hardware store to buy two toggle bolts for a total of $1.50. Make sure you bring one of the mounts with you to ensure you get toggle bolts with screw heads small enough to fit inside the mount. Once I had those, install was smooth sailing. I thought it was missing some of the rubber gaskets that go on either side of the glass but they are actually two thin gaskets stuck together that you have to pull apart. Even with the poor wall anchor quality I gave it 5 stars as it's an easy fix and the value is still excellent at the price I paid ($44.50).

Great White Board and easy to install
I received this glass whiteboard and was a little hesitant that it wouldn't get delivered unbroken. I was very happy to open the box and find it all in one piece and with all the hardware to install. I finally got all the tools required to make this an easier install (drill, tape, level, etc.) and went about installing it myself. I used the packing material to mark where the holes in the glass were, taped that up to the wall the drilled through it to get a perfect template that I also left in place behind the glass so it wouldn't be able to flex when I was writing on it. It came out perfectly with a one person install and I don't have any problems erasing with the dry erase markers I use. I would recommend this purchase although installing it with two people would make it a bit easier and safer (so you don't drop and shatter it if you are doing it all yourself. The glass is a bit heavy and awkward to hold by yourself while lining the holes and hardware up). Looks really good on the wall in my kitchen. I might also try putting LED light strips around the edge to see what effect it will have....buy that's a later project.

Great White Board, Directions Could Be Better
The glass whiteboard itself is excellent—sleek, sturdy, and writes/erases beautifully. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because the installation instructions could use improvement by providing verbiage along with pictures. If you're not familiar with using drywall anchors or mounting heavy items, the directions might leave you scratching your head. A mounting template would be helpful as well as getting the hardware perfectly aligned is critical since even a slight mismeasurement can make it tricky to fit the bolts through the glass.

Quality board for great price
I received this glass whiteboard on time and it was well-packaged to prevent any defects during shipping. I was able to install the board on my own, though I must admit that it felt frustrating at times (this would probably be mitigated by having someone else help hold up the board, as other reviews mention). If you have to fly solo during installation and also suck at properly measuring/installing the brackets at the correct distance, I highly recommend doing the following: - Use painters tape to measure the distance between and map that out on your wall - Use one of the pieces of styrofoam to put between the board and the wall (and keep it there after installation - this helps provide support, as the board could otherwise be kind of flimsy without it) - Tighten all but one of the brackets before you align the board - this gave me a little flexibility to be "off" on my measurements. Once I got it on all four brackets, I tightened the final bracket. To hide the styrofoam, I used a piece of washi tape around the border so it's a cute and somewhat hidden accent. So far the board has cleaned very well for both glass whiteboard markers and standard whiteboard markers (e.g. standard EXPO). Considering I was going to pay $30 for a board half the size (Quartet brand from Target), I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Perfect for our classroom!
I did alot of research and settled on this one. My husband, son and I hung it last night and it appears to be everything I wanted. I guess time will tell whether the marking start staying on there or not. I love the glass concept

Beautiful, but use your own drywall screws
This is a beautiful glass whiteboard, and incredibly fun to write on. Now that it's installed I'm so so happy with it! There were a few things that were a bit difficult. 1) This is glass so it's very heavy. I had to install this myself, but to get the holes in the right spots I had to hold this up on one knee, while standing on a chair, and attempt to use a pencil to plan out where to drill the holes. Would be way easier with two people, but still , I managed to install it by myself. 2) The drywall screws it came with are pretty cheap. Luckily I figured that out after the first one, because the whole thing would have ripped right out of the wall. I used the exact drill it size that was recommended in the instructions but it was not secure at all. I switched over to high quality ones that are more if a spiral shape and the other 3 brackets were on super secure. I would recommend that the company upgrades these - for buyers - definitely upgrade these (my two cents). Ultimately I'm so happy with it. I would definitely purchase this again but get someone to help me and go with better drywall screws from the start. But I'm 5'5 and 130 pounds and I managed to get this up without damaging it so hopefully that's reassuring for anyone worried about trying this alone!
