DimensionsStamped Cross Stitch Kit Baby Animals Birth Record Personalized Baby Gift, 12" x 9", White

I’m a total newbie beginner and the pattern is stamped but not with colors. I still have to follow directions that are hard to interpret. Instructions are 3 pages and requires a lot of concentration and perhaps skill I don’t possess. It’s for a grandchild but my interpretation has impacted how it looks. The pattern should be color stamped on the fabric and then the instructions could be clearer and more concise.

Quality product. The product arrived (as with all other things ordered on Amazon Prime) very quickly. In a day!!! I am a seasoned stitcher and this is my first STAMPED cross stitch. I suggest cutting a cardboard piece from the opening of any box and use a small screwdriver and scissors to punch 21 holes in it. Then remove the flosses all in their bunches and LABEL what color they are. I also don't think 3 threads for regular cross stitching is needed as the directions say. I am using 2 thread and thread like a regular sewing needle with a slight knot on the end and it is beautiful.The patterned, stamp cloth is so high quality. A lot easier for the quick hand wash- and iron- after complete. The prep with the floss, labeling and sewing and getting a good strong scotch tape around the cloth frame to prevent fraying, is essential. This is a quality ,easy to do product and beautiful! I suggest also ordering the matting and a white frame on Amazon Prime, as well. Make sure you order the frame one size bigger than the pic size as suggested in Matting ordering. I think a white frame with blue matting. Or a blue frame with cream blue outlined matting, looks very nice.

I thew out the color mixes included. Note the “x”s go outside the main pattern. Not a clean line. It worked, but I had to adjust. My skill level is mid level, maybe it for someone more accomplished.

Ran out of 4 colors! Made due with some leftovers I had. Very frustrating. Would not recommend this product .

This came out really nice. I made it in a couple weeks of light effort. Instructions were good, clear, and there was sufficient thread. The thread does tend to knot frequently, but that's generally true of Dimensions' kits. It's not enough to mark it down even 1 star, since if you cut or prep the thread before working it, the knotting issue is minimal (I'm just lazy and like using a full 32" piece rather than cutting it down).I did freehand the name/date, but the lettering guide was a nice touch.

The pattern is stamped but only in a single color, so one must refer to the pattern. So basically, this is a counted cross-stitch kit, not stamped. Also requires much other embroidery work; outlining difficult to follow once the cross stitches are in. No specific guidance on centering customized info of baby name etc.

While it was a fairly easy project and I finished it in 4 days, stamped cross stitch on fabric is messy. With the other embroidery stitching, it still turned out cute. I got it custom framed to give as a Christmas present

Very good instructions, easy to follow. This is used as birth announcement for my great-nephew. The parents were thrilled with it. The hung it in the nursery as soon as they brought it home.

The printed fabric is a very nice cotton type that is very soft and easy to stitch on. I'm not experienced in this craft so it wasn't turning out well. I've decided to do counted x-stitch on aida cloth, and hope to have enough thread. The thread is dreamy. Very nice.
