Easy Fix
Works great. Pro tip: Put the plastic sleeve and the part you are installing in place exactly where you want them before screwing the plate in. This way the hole lines up perfectly.

Money Saving Device Doesn't Break the Bank
This is a genius, money-saving device that is so easy to install. I was about to throw my bi-folding doors away and buy new ones when a friend bought this device for me to try. He saved me hundreds of dollars, and my bi-folding doors have worked perfectly ever since.

All bifold doors should have these brackets installed
Easy to install and they work well. If the door is badly split, it needs to be glued, clamped, and allowed to cure prior installing the bracket. Similarly, if the hole in the door is badly worn and oversized, you may need to fill the hole and redrill prior to installing the bracket. Also, some of the plastic roller housings that insert into the door are fluted and you will need to trim off the flutes to get the housing to fit through the hole in the bracket. Easily done with a utility knife. My only real complaint is that the brackets do not come in a variety of colors. Depending upon where they are used, you may need to paint them to match the decor. In my opinion, brackets such as these should be standard on bifold doors. If they were, there would be no split doors or other failures that allow the roller housing to fall out. I bought a few to repair some damaged doors but now I am purchasing more to put on all of the bifold doors in the house. Tired of seeing five-star reviews for mediocre products. My rating scale is as follows: 5 - A truly exceptional product or exceptional value. 4 - A very good product or very good value. I would gladly purchase it again and I recommend it to others. 3 - An okay product which I neither recommend nor discourage other people from purchasing. 2 - A substandard product or service and I would not recommend nor purchase again. 1 - A truly terrible product or horrible service.

Great Product to Repair a Damaged Bi-Fold Door
I had a 25-year old bi-fold closet door frame split at the lower pivot hole. The original 3/8 inch hole had gotten over-sized and the pivot pin slipped up into the door frame. This metal plate is pretty easy to use: it just slips on the bottom of the door. Since my door had split slightly, I had to clamp the door frame and use a hammer to get the flanges to slip up the door. The provided bushing works for the 3/8 inch replacement pin I also purchase. The little hole is for a nail (not provided) to fasten the plate in place while you reinstall the door. This product really works and gave new life to the door. The flange is very unobtrusive and not really noticeable unless you're looking for it.

We’re back on track!
I’m a relatively new home owner with limited DIY skills, so I admit I let my broken hall closet door sit propped on the wall for a few months in intimidation before I finally sat down and gave it a good look over. The bottom metal part the entire door balances on had been punched up into the hallow core of the door. I watched a few videos, and this bracket looked promising. Same price here as Home Depot but I would have to order it in both places, and Amazon was 1 day. And it worked great! The door is back up and securely in place. I know to some this might seem like a little thing, but it gives you a lot of confidence to be able to fix things around the house! And this solution was much cheaper and quicker than a whole new door.
