Gave me an allergic reaction
I took this probiotic for six days and felt fine for the first two, then my tongue started to swell, I developed huge painful blisters on my gums and then several mouth ulcers. By day 5 I could barely eat and on day 6 I stopped because my throat was closing up and I was scared. I read on the Zoe website about L Rhamnosus probiotic which is known to cause the symptoms I was experiencing in some people. I have never taken it before. I had to take lots of antihistamines and eventually my tongue swelling reduced and I could breathe. I feel there should be some warning on the packet about this. I have never had an allergic reaction to a probiotic supplement before. I’m happy to say I’m ok now and the sore gums, blisters and ulcers have healed but it was a miserable few days.
