I originally bought ES Robbins Rectangle Desk Pad, 19-Inch by 24-Inch, Clear pad. But it was damaged when it arrived. I returned it and bought Durable Duraglas Transparent Desk Pad, 19.5 x 25.5-Inches. The Durable Duraglas pad is translucent with a mat finish on top . The edges are tapered all around. The pad is flexible allowing it to lay flat on my desk without bubbles or corners that turn up. You can put notes under the pad and see them through the pad.

I have an antique desk and just acquired an old heavy typewriter. I was very concerned the desk could be ruined without a pad. Well this product is not noticable and the desk finish shows through while it is maintaining stability for the typewriter and providing protection to the surface of the desk.

It was one of the few that fit my smaller desk and the price was right. It is a "cloudy" clear, but that doesn't bother me. I did put some tick tack on all four corners so it stays in place. For the money and the right size, it's a good item.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing, so I knew NOT to expect the pad being perfectly clear. I didn't want perfectly clear because I feel they show too many fingerprints, so this one is great!! It might not look as polished since you can clearly see the pad on the desk, but that's fine with me... my desk is a cheap $100 thing, so I was never going for polished. This does exactly what I want it to - save the finish on my cheap desk. it doesn't slide around at all. It's not sticky/sweaty when my arms rest on it while I type. It's awesome.

I bought this for my granddaughter to use with her play doh and it works great! Perfect size for her to roll out her play doh and use her tools. I used thin hot pink zig zag duct tape to edge the mat so my granddaughter could visualize her play space and stay on the mat. The mat is flexible and would be great to use on a table or floor.

as others have said, it is gray and hard to see through very well. I have a white desk so it bothers me quite a bit, but works for what I need it to - protect my desk. Don't know that I would order again, but for the price, I am content.

I bought two of these 8 years ago for my children's desks and they are still in good condition. After 8 years I am looking to replace them simply because they have taken eight years of being colored, scribbled, and painted on. As far as holding up, they have absolutely no tears at all. They have taken the abuse of children and have held up well. They even clean up fairly easily. But let's face it, after eight years of abuse, not all of the paint's going to come off! I would highly recommend these if you're purchasing them to protect your desk.

I got this to protect my new desk from the mouse or other items scrathing the surface of my new cherry desk. It works perfect and I can lay a page from current calendar under it or numbers I need quickly or photos, biz cards you name it. It's clear so you can still work from the surface smoothly! I love it!
