U-Taste Silicone Spatula Set with 600 Degrees Fahrenheit Heat Resistant (Purple)

Great - But Shipped With a Strong Odor
When I first received the tools, they had a VERY strong plastic-y odor - not something I wanted anywhere near my food! This was a bit unexpected since the listing does mention that the products do not have any odor. Nonetheless, I tried removing the odor a few different ways: the dishwasher, soaking them overnight in water with dish soap, baking soda...no luck.I then tried Wirecutter's method for removing odors from silicone: a nice bake in the oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. This did the trick - For about an hour, the smell was STRONG - but the silicone did not melt - which is good, since they are rated up to 600 degrees. After the hour was up, I took the spatulas out and washed them - the smell was gone. So, if yours arrived smelly, toss them in the oven on low.Anyway - on to the product - I find them to be excellent. The color is even across all the spatulas, and they have just the right amount of flex and structure. And from a food safety standpoint, I like that these are all one piece and cannot be disassembled.Overall, I'm satisfied with these products - but I'm also surprised that they smelled so bad.

Love these spatulas but....
I think these spatulas but wish the quality control was a little better. I ordered the teal ones, three of them were teal and the other was blue! I would have hated this to have been a gift I gave to someone. The quality of the spatulas is great, I have used them multiple times and they have held up great.UPDATE: The seller reached out to me very soon after leaving my review. They sent me a photo of the item to be sure I had received the correct product, I sent a photo of what I received (same). Once they received my photo they quickly sent me out a complete new set; told me not to worry about returning the old one which I thought was wonderful. Returning stuff is always such a hassle. As I stated above the spatulas are excellent quality, I use them daily for everything from stirring to frying and they still look brand new. Customer service is also top-notch. Definitely recommend these if looking for a good quality spatula.

Careful about the Leaching
When cooking at medium-high temperatures, the spatula leached its color into my rice. Definitely not heat resistant. Definitely dangerous

I’m a much better person now, thanks to my new spatula and friends
So far, I am in a lot of love with these utensils. They seem extremely well made/sturdy. The biggest bonus is the singular piece design. It was an amazing thing to NOT lose my spatula head in my brownie mix! Don’t deny it, y’all have felt my pain more than once. I’ve yet to find the glue or epoxy ( go big or go home, right?) That doesn’t wear down rendering my spatulas is essentially useless (until I glue/duct tape/epoxy/screw it back together again. It’s such a tedious thing). Those incidents can now remain in the past and seldom haunt my nightmares. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I now have one less worry and a lot more faith I will survive this pandemic quarantine with my facilities (mostly) in tact. Thanks U-Taste, you may have saved my sanity as well as a ton of time👍🏼🥰😍

I LOVE THESE!!! THESE BEND JUST RIGHT, ARE STURDY IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES, & WASH VERY WELL IN THE TOP RACK OF MY DISHWASHER. I SEEN ANOTHER VIEWER STATE THERE WAS A FILM FROM THERE DISHWASHER. WELL, I CAN SAY THAT DID NOT HAPPEN TO MINE, & I GOT THE BLACK SET. I LOVE ALL THE SIZES THEY ARE EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!

Sturdy set.....until they weren't!
I specifically bought this set because it advertised a strong metal core which was supposed to make this sturdier than the average scaper set. Unfortunately, after only 4 months of light use, this happened while mixing some moderately stiff dough. Looking at my now useless scraper, I got to thinking: "a sharp metal rod inside flexible/pliable silicone"......yeah, probably not a good combo. Lesson learned. :-/

Handle end is as floppy as a wet noodle
These spatulas seem really nice overall, but the metal inside the handle ends too soon - to accommodate the holes you would use to hang these up. This means the end of the handle is un-reinforced silicone, and is it not strong at all. This might SEEM unimportant, but when you use spatulas, the end of the handle is where you get all your leverage...and on these, you get no leverage at all. So the whole thing just feels kind of mushy, and if you want a firm feel you have to move your hand to the middle of the handle, which is uncomfortable/impractical.Note to manufacturer: my guess is about 99% of your customers would prefer a handle that is strong the whole way through. The hole is not necessary. No one is going to hang these things up - they're ugly, and when is the last time you saw someone hanging spatulas up in their kitchen anyway?

Nice colours but maybe not strong enough?
I like the fact that these come in nice vibrant colours, and they are nice and easy to clean and when using them they really hug the surface you are working on so leave minimal residue behind, but I was most disappointed to have the large spatula snap off at the base of the metal insert while I was stirring a mixing bowl.I will leave it at 3* for now, as the set as a whole is pretty good, and assuming that the others continue to work, but it's frustrating that the largest and most useful one of the set has packed it in after only a couple of months (using maybe once a week).

THICK, HARD AND NO USE
This item really disappointed me. I now have to go and search for another set. They are sturdy for sure. But what I was looking for was a set of spatulas that easilt scraped food out of bowls or pit or easily slipped food in the frying pan. These though on the exterior are all silicone, have got a metal shaft that runs down the handle (fine) BUT AT THE NECK OF THE SPATULA THIS INTERNAL MELTAL WIDENS INTO SPATULA SHAPE. So what you have is a pretty rigid utensil AND also the thing is thick and so are the edge. Can't fathom how the good reviews appeared here. And how come the form for this review asks for stars for thickness and sturdiness and no request for info on flexibility?

Hidden Gem
I've always bought dollar store pieces similar to these to avoid scratching my copper coated/ceramic and non stick pans. I am a bit frugal so I was hesitant about spending a couple dollars extra for the upgrade but these are a thousand times better! No worry about melting plastic or harmful chemicals and these are very sturdy. No comparison at all. I use these every day and they are very easy to clean.Extra special, the thin spatula, for jars and such, is the hidden gem here! I buy the 1kg peanut butter jars and mayo jars and this is absolutely perfect for scraping out every last little bit.I absolutely recommend this product and would purchase it again as a gift for someone else or for myself again if, heaven forbid, something happened to mine like they were stolen by aliens or destroyed in an a zombie apocalypse.

Broke within 6 weeks. Would not recommend
After about 6 weeks the large spatula has broken and the metal is poking through. It has only been used for stirring chocolate. I don't own a dishwasher and it's not been subjected to any high temperatures. I would not recommend these
