Obihai addresses customer issues, fixes problems. Device works well. A lot of machine for relatively little money.
update 12/31/15. Obihai fixed the speed dial issue, now you can update speed dials using the normal obitalk interface.update 11/24/15. I got it configured with one Jive line, one Anveo line, two google voice lines. Jive was difficult but that was mostly because I had to reconfigure a setting on my routers. Voice call is still excellent. However I am removing two stars (was five stars til now) because (1) I have so far spent about 3 hours configuring this phone and I can't do speed dial, and (2) after I spent hours configuring the phone it reverted to settings I had never configured, disabling about 15 - 20 speed dials I had looked up and installed in the device one by one. Also the "music on hold" feature which I spent at least an hour on that one single feature does not appear to be working. I tried with exactly the configuration mentioned in their 300 page manual written by some f***ing engineer. After it didn't work using that setting their tech support person emailed me and told me to use the setting in the manual, which had not worked although I tried it (and by the way I explained that fact in my email requesting help). Tech support is not real time--you send an email to tech support and if they feel like it they respond. Sometimes they respond with an answer that helps, more often they send a non-answer.It is impressive that the Obi1022 connects to google voice so easily but when you call tech support you do not get openly snotty kids who sneer at your inability with expert configuration, however it DOES seem as if you are getting people who are ALMOST openly snotty and contemptuous of your inability to configure their device. I cannot configure speed dials without logging into my obitalk expert configuration panel. Are you kidding me? I can buy a phone from 25 years ago and configure speed dial in about 10 minutes. If I have a question I can lookup their manual online and resolve my question in a few minutes. So don't you think you should make this device a little bit more user friendly? I logged into the expert configuration panel and looked at every single setting and I did not see anything plainly marked speed dial. It is important for me to be able to call about five or six different people at least without looking up their numbers. And I can't justify spending another two hours trying to worship this stupid plastic device on my desk in order to coax out a speed dial. I'm probably going to buy a replacement. The phone is high quality, but high maintenance.original review: I really like it. I have not fully figured it out yet, but I have 3 google voice lines and one anveo line going to it, and there is room to use it with several more. Anyway it's great and I intend to cancel the anveo line next year (I already paid like $40 or $60 for this year). I am a solo practitioner and I like to have a voip phone because I feel like I'm competing with the big boys :). The call quality is pretty good. Not incredible but I really don't care. Anyway what I really care about is how consistently the device works, and so far it appears to be working very well. I have it connected to a bluetooth headset using the obibt device. If I had no money pressures I would just buy the top of the line obihai phone, because it's only like $40 more than this phone.

Full of features and Google Voice ready.....
Nice phone with good sound quality, fully customizable for just about anything you would want. However, it did not work right out of the box. Product website, even with a support forum was severely lacking and never addressed the problem I was having. After searching online I found many had the same issue going back a year. Only after I upgrade the phone software, which is simple to do from the phone menu (without any downloads) did it begin working properly. Its GV ready with easy setup too. I`ve had no more issues and honestly its a very nice phone.

Great phone. Took a bit longer to set up than I had hoped, though.
I purchased this phone more as an act of desperation rather than inspiration. I was using my cell phone as my primary office phone and my second device in a year died on me--and my provider took nearly 3 weeks to replace a unit that was defective (another story for another day). I switched to GV because I needed to make business calls and because GV is free. Phone was delivered pretty quickly, even with the free shipping option. It took me around an hour to set up the phone and $10 for a new GV number. I was a tad frustrated, but once set up, the phone has great sound, lots of options, and it was very easy to set up speed dials and import contacts. I use the supplied power supply and use a hard wired ethernet connection directly to my wireless router.Everyone I have spoken to says the sound is great. On my end all the calls sound really great. Speakerphone is easy to use. I've been using the phone for over a week, and no complaints at all. Good product. Would have given it 5 stars had it connected as quickly as I would have liked. Would like to try using my bluetooth headset with it, but haven't purchased the dongle yet.

Rubbish with Google Voice in 2021
Up until recently I would have given this 5 stars. True, you have to have a technical mindset to install these things (its not particularly simple or user friendly), but I have two of these and they have worked almost without issue with Google Voice for over a year, with absolutely great call quality.About 2 weeks ago I started getting emails saying my OBI device was offline. I kept checking immediately upon receipt of these emails and never found an issue. Device was not offline and I could make and receive calls just fine. So... I basically ignored them, though they kept coming.Eventually though, all my obi devices went dead as far as being able to use them with Google Voice. The status was being report as "forbidden" or some such thing. (Nothing wrong with my Google Voice accounts by the way and no change in credentials). So, given that the only real help you are going to find is from other users in forums, I spent a lot of time trying to look up what could possibly be causing my issue and how to fix it. That was mostly a dead end since most of what I turned up Google searches was wildly outdated. I did take one of the suggestions which was to remove and re-add the google voice accounts for all my obi devices. So I tried that... it didn't work. Or maybe it did... this is where it starts to get a little crazy. When trying to reconfigure google voice using the obi dashboard (their website, which is terribly confusing as far as navigation goes, BTW) it sat spinning at "configuring" for a while and then displayed "Connecting to 0.0.0.0" which is where it seems to be permanently stuck. Still not working. So then I figured I'd try to update the firmware on the device... perhaps they changed something with how it connects to Google Voice was my thought. I tried updating from the device and it told me no update was available. Then it just magically started working... though according to my obi dashboard it isn't, because it still says "Connecting to 0.0.0.0" yet I can make and receive calls just fine. WHAT?????Edit: this lasted about 10 minutes and after i originally posted this review it stopped working again and never came back online.I have the same 2 Google Voice accounts set up on my other OBI phone, but I wasn't as lucky with that one. No matter what I tried I couldn't get that working again. These worked fine for just over a year. Now a paperweight.Yes, one star, and that might even be too high. Not much support, terrible configuration interface that is clearly incapable of displaying accurate information, but hey, at least these come with a FREE big ol fat helping of ENDLESS FRUSTRATION.I'm tempted to go all Office-Space-Printer on these, actually.
